Why did it have to be me?

Chapter 2

London's POV
      Today was the day I was going to tell my mom about me moving to be honest I'm really scared to. It's not that my mom is scary it's the fact that I have to actually be serious about this. After I got dressed for the day I went down stairs and than I completely forgot that this conversation with my mom will be on TV. Crap. "Good morning sleep well." My mother asked setting a bowl of oatmeal with peaches on top in front of me. "Same as always." I told her as I started eating.

      "Okay so I figured we would plan your birthday party. It's in less than a month so I figured we would start today." She said poring me a glass of juice. "Oh Maggie warned you about this mom." My little brother said with a laugh at the end. "Honey we have  had birthday parties for you kids every year and you love it!." My mom said cheerfully. "Mom I'm not 16 anymore I don't need to be babied I just want to go out have a few drinks with my friends and than maybe have Mason and Kaylin stay over night." I said as I ate my food.

      Mason and Kaylin are my best friend. I have known Mason longer than any of my friends. Are moms are best friends so us two grew up with each other. We may have dated a few times but we put that behind us. "You are 100% positive that you don't want a 21st birthday because after this I'm night gonna turn around and through one for you in the last minute." She said. "I am 100% positive mom but thank you for trying. There is something I need to talk to you about." I said as I put my spoon down. "Oh god this must be serious she stopped eating." My little brother said. "What is it honey? Did something and happened?" She asked a bit scared. " No nothing bad happened mom. This is about me. I am moving out." Before my mom could say anything I finished talking.

      "I'm getting older now I want to be out on my own. I'm going today to look at one of the places." I said with a smile. "Well this is a lot to take in. You are just growing up to fast." My mom said hugging me. "So your okay with all of thing?" I asked pulling away. "Of course your a adult now you get to make your own choices." My mom said with a smile. I finished up breakfast than I was off to go and look at the appointment. When I arrived I was a little nervous, I mean this is a big deal. So here goes nothing.

       "Oh you must be London Conners please come with me." The nice lady said as she welcomed me in. "This is a lovely building." I said as we got in the elevator. "Yes it is it was just build last year and every home in this building is very lovely as well." She said with a smile. When we got to the door of the apartment I was excited I mean this could be my new home. " Come on in this is one of the best homes in then building it's got a lovely kitchen, big living area, one master and one teen and the master has a bath and dining room has a bath." As she showed me around I feel I love with this place my dad was right. Make sure you find a place that fits you. This place definitely fit me.

       "Do you have any questions?" The nice lady asked. "Oh yes how long will I know until i get a answer about this place?" I asked. "Well I showed this place to a couple before you and right now it's a 50/50 to who gets it. So maybe a week." She said. Dang it someone came before me there goes my shot on the perfect little home for me. "Go ahead and sign these papers. I couldn't help but notice you have a little brit accent." She said as she handed me the clipboard. "Oh yeah my father is from the U.K. but my mother is American." I said with a smile. "That's lovely thank you for coming I'm sure you know your way out and I'm hoping to get back to you." She said with a smile. 

       When I got home all I could think about was what if I didn't get the apartment or what if I wasn't good enough for it. "Hey sis how was your tour?"  My sister asked when I opened my bedroom door. "You scared me, I even you wouldn't just come in here freely without my permission." I said as I closed the door. "I'm sorry." She said laughing. " Oh yeah the tour. It was actually really good the lady was nice but there was a couple who also put in a offer so it's 50/50." I said as I turned on my radio. "Oh I'm sorry but hey don't lose hope you never know who they will choose." She said with a smile. "Thank you-" I was than cut off by the radio. One directions new album Four came out today and it is already taking over the world is there anything these boys can't do. Here is the hit song steal my girl. The song than started play and I got up and went to turn the radio.

       "Uh what in the world do you think your doing?" My sister stoped me. "I'm changing it what's it look like." I said. "Don't change it, you know if you would actually listen to them you would probably like them other than always listening to Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers ." She said with a laugh. "Fine I'll keep it here. You are like obsessed with them you know. And hey the Joe bros and Demi are amazing." I said walking back to my bed. " Its not obsessive it's love and you only like the Jonas brothers because you think Joe is hot." She said pinching my arm. "Ouch and um who doesn't." I said with a laugh. After hanging out for a while and talking about her love for Harry styles I gotta hand it to her One Direction isn't all that bad.

      I spent the rest of the night listening to all 4 of One Directions albums I like them but I don't see them like my sister sees them. I turned on the TV to watch some Hallmark movies. I loved to watch romance movies but I never liked it for myself I'm more of a laid back person. Once I got the the 2nd movie it was harder to keep my eyes open soon I was out and everything went black.

Hi! I'm gonna finish a lot tonight just because I have absolutely nothing to do.
