Late Night Drinks

Chapter 8

It was 11:00 PM, and Kei had just made it to his destination. He was wiping counters, ordering and serving drinks, all that. It was Thursday, and he has a big test tomorrow. The entire week, he studied until he fell asleep, today and yesterday, he gave in, and tutored the first years, he was exhausted, and totally dreaded work after school. But he had no choice. His brother worked, so that meant he had to do his share, too.
  Kei kept dozing off during his shift, and his co-worker, Mo, had noticed. She walked up to the tall blonde with a concerned face.
"Heeey, Tsukishima, you alright? Earlier, you almost squeezed an entire lime into someone's drink, but Masao stopped you in time..." Mo said. Kei looked at her. She flinched, as she saw his dark eye bags, and messy hair.
"Geez, when was the last time you slept?" She asked. Kei groaned.
"I only got 4 hours of sleep last night..." He grumbled.
"And why is that?" Mo asked.
"I have a huge exam tomorrow, first thing in the morning..." Kei mumbled.
"What subjects?" Mo asked again.
"English, science, and history..." Kei scowled.
"But I thought you were good at English?" Mo raised an eyebrow. Kei rolled his eyes .
"Yeah, I'm good at English, I already know I'm gonna pass the test, history, too, but science is one of my weaknesses." He sighed.
"Oh, is that so?" Mo asked. "Such a shame, science is my best subject." She giggled. Kei socked her arm.
"No need to brag, jerk." He scolded. Mo rubbed her arm.
"Ow..."
    It's been an hour since Kei's started working. Though, to him, it felt like 3 hours. He's fallen asleep at least 4 times. He groaned, and banged his head on the counter. Izumi flinched, as she walked into the bar.
"Uh...everything ok, Tsukishima?" She asked. Kei looked up. Izumi's skin jumped, as she saw his face.
"Geezus, you look like you haven't slept in days..." she said. Kei rubbed his eyes.
"I haven't slept for the past week..." He grumbled. Izumi tilted her head.
"And why is that?" She asked. Kei glared at her.
"Because mY DUMBASS SCHOOL DECIDED TO PLAN AN ENTIRE WEEK OF EXAMS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE YEAR!" He shouted. Izumi took a step away.
"O-ok, chill..." she said.
"How am I supposed to do that?!" Kei asked.
"Ok, stop yelling first!" Izumi rolled her eyes. Kei sighed, and placed his face in his hands.
"I don't understand why you're so stressed, honestly, I find exams exhilarating." Izumi shrugged.
"Well, that's 'cause you're in college, you're old." Kei grumbled.
"Hey, I'm only 19!" Izumi shot back. Kei rolled his eyes. Izumi sighed.
"Just take it easy, ok?" She stood up. "I have to get back to work." She walked away. Kei pulled out his phone. He's gotten a message from Tetsuro.

Tsukiiiiiii
Tsuki, are you at the bar?
Or, are you free at the moment?

Kei
What is it?
And why do you want to know if I'm at the club?

Tetsuro
Ah, so you are at the club, ok

Kei
What
Oi, don't even think about coming over!

Tetsuro
Too late, already in my car~

Kei glared at his screen.
This Rooster-head really wants to die, huh?

Kei
Don't come over, I'll have security get rid of you.

Tetsuro
You wouldn't do that

Kei
