Chapter 38

"Tsuki, over there!" Tetsuro shouted constantly, as the water battle went on.

Kei looked to his right, and squirted water at someone. "AHAHAHAHAHAHA, YOU MISSED, FOUR-EYES!" Futakuchi screeched. That's when he got hit in the back with a water balloon.

"You're out!" Komi stuck his tongue out. Futakuchi growled, as he put on an irritated face, and held up his water guns.

"BITCH, I'M OUT WHEN I SAY I'M OUT!" He shouted, as he charged towards the libero.
"Shit, time to go-" Komi sprinted.

"KAGEYAMA!" Hinata yelled. Kageyama shifted to his left, and threw a water balloon to Lev and Yaku.

Yaku quickly hid behind the tall middle blocker. "Got him!" Kageyama said.
"Crap, Yaku-san, I got hit." Lev said. Yaku rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, that's like the fifth time!" He said, as he threw a water balloon.

"WHO THE FUCK THREW THAT?!" Terushima growled. Yaku hid behind Lev again, making all eyes on him. Lev frantically threw his hands up.

"I SWEAR, I'M INNOCENT-" He shouted, whilst running away.

The managers awkwardly watched the war go on, as they passed out more water balloons and refilling water guns.

"Er...was this a good idea?" Yachi asked nervously. Kiyoko and the others giggled a bit.
"Well, they seem to be having fun." Kaori shrugged.
"Mhm, and all that matters that is nobody dies." Yukie nodded. The girls laughed, as they continued watching.

"That's eight!" Tetsuro yelled. He had just gotten some people out. "Kuroo, watch out!" Kei yelled. Tetsuro looked to his right, and instantly grabbed Kei and jumped into the  pool.

They popped their heads back up to the surface. Kei glared at his boyfriend. "Was that necessary?" He snapped. Tetsuro shrugged.

"It's one way to dodge." He chuckled. Kei scoffed, before quickly getting out of the water, with Tetsuro at his tail.

Two hours later, it was almost 4:30. The water war was still going on, some people taking a quick break, others still having a lot of energy, like Nishinoya and Koganegawa.

Kei panted, and slicked back his hair. He and Tetsuro have been running and dodging for a long time, only taking 10 second breaks. Tetsuro wiped his mouth, and glanced at Kei, eyes widening.

"Tsuki, watch-"

Before the captain could finish his sentence, Kei had already dodged his way from getting pounced on by Nishinoya.

As Nishinoya jumped towards Kei, one of the managers blew their whistles, followed by Nishinoya falling into the water.

"Everyone! Dinner is almost ready!" Kiyoko called out. Everyone groaned and sighed.

"Dammnit, so close!" Nishinoya huffed, spitting out some water. Kei snickered, and walked away.
"Ya hafta be a little more quicker than that." He said. Nishinoya blew a raspberry at the middle blocker, and grabbed Asahi's hand to get out of the pool.

Karasuno and Johzenji were in one of the locker rooms, washing off the pool chemicals and getting dressed. "Uwah, that was awesome." Sugawara sighed. Daichi rolled his eyes.

"It was not fun at all." He said, slipping into his shirt.
"You're just being grouchy because you kept getting hit." Tanaka snickered. He covered his mouth, as his captain gave him a death glare.

"And then you were like, 'nyoom'! And your dodge was so fast!" Terushima happily described to Nishinoya, who had a proud and flattered face.

"Why, thank you." He smiled. Asahi smiled and shook his head, as he watched his boyfriend receive many compliments.
