PENELOPE

"I I hate that teacher!" Trixie complained. "I can't believe she didn't sign my clearance yet!"

I ignored her. I have my own problems to deal with.

Now that I have ended that stupid deal with that dork, I need to find new ideas for my campaign.

I should have come up with a backup plan beforehand!

"What subject is that again?" Vanessa asked with her eyes on her phone, as usual.

"GYM!" cried Trixie. Argh, she's so annoying!

"Girl, if I'm your gym teacher, I will also not sign your clearance." I spat and Trixie turned to me.

"But I have a perfect record in gym class. No Late, No Absences!" She crossed her arms.

"Well, you're always wearing makeup during gym class. Maybe that's the reason." Vanessa alleged.

"After gym class," I added. "Check your face in the mirror or people would assume you just finished your shift as a prostitute."

"Argh! You're both so annoying!" She stood up. "Let's just go eat."

Later, we arrived at the canteen and the first thing is that dork with Zia.

Such a pain in the eye.

I think I just lost my appetite.

"Is there a dress code today?" I turned to Trixie.

"What are you talking about?"

"Look." I followed her gaze. "There are a lot of people wearing similar blue t-shirts. Is there a memo for this or something? Because I for sure, didn't get one."

She's right. I didn't notice that earlier.

I scanned the room and then I realized that this isn't a dress code. Those are campaign shirts!

"No, they did not!" I complained.

"Yes, they did." I turned to Vanessa who is now holding a blue shirt similar to what others are wearing. She handed it to me.

I took it from her and read what the t-shirt says. "Vote for CL, Your Cutest Lover and your next queen."

"This is so cheap and what kind of tagline is this? How childish!"

"What is happening?" Trixie asked, clearly still not aware of what's happening.

"Uh-oh. Trouble is coming." Vanessa announced.

I looked behind me.

Trouble? You mean, tragedy.

"Oh, so you received your shirt already? Actually, I was about to give you one."

Of course, CL stands for Clare Lastimosa. That's like common sense already.

After what happened to us during that pool party, she sure isn't giving up yet.

It looks like her jaw is about to detach from her face because she was trying so hard to fake a smile. I can't help but smirk.

"Calling yourself the cutest lover is such a bold move. You're not even cute." I came closer to her and handed her the t-shirt.

"You're just insecure, Penelope."

I let out a laugh. "Look, I'm not in the mood to argue. Besides seeing your face, I had enough trash for today."

She gasped, "Excuse me? I was trying to be nice to you."

"Oh, really? Do you want me to hire a tutor to teach you the difference between being nice and being fake?"

"Just stop being sarcastic because it doesn't suit you, Penelope." She crossed her arms.

"Well, you should be thankful I chose sarcasm rather than breaking your fake nose from China." I crossed my arms as well.

I can hear Vanessa and Trixie laughing behind my back.

"What are you talking about? I never had anything done to my body. Everything about me is a hundred percent natural!"

She's raising her voice now but I chose to stay calm.

"Oh, I'm sorry. I guess you're right because you're so fake that even China would deny making you."

She opened her mouth in shock so I grabbed the opportunity to leave, "Now If you'll excuse me, I have to leave. Dealing with your bullshit isn't part of my agenda today. Bye, bitch." I flipped my hair and turned to leave.

"ARGH! Watch me win that crown, BITCH!" She yelled and I started to hear people gossiping about her.

I can't help but laugh. She just humiliated herself.

And what did she say? She'll win the crown?

Ha! As if I'm going to let her.

She's such a queen-wanna be.

"Wow, you pulled that off well, Penelope." Trixie said in delight.

"You should have seen how Penelope dissed that girl during the pool party, Trixie." Vanessa shared. "Clare stormed off like a child who just lost her lollipop."

"Oh, I was busy making out with Kyle. Tell me all the details!"

"I have no time for that. Let's just say, Penelope won." Vanessa replied.

I stopped walking and faced them both. "That's why you should never cross with me. I'm not even aware of the things I am capable off."

 They looked at each other.

"Anyway, let's go." I continued walking.

I am so hungry, but I don't think seeing those people wearing those cheap campaign shirts will help with my appetite.

"To where?" asked Trixie. "Aren't we eating lunch?"

"I have a better idea."
