PENELOPE

As soon as I went home, I took a bath and decided to call that cafeteria boy.

After arguing with him over the phone and arranging some things to get him off his work for today, I finally won.

See? I always get what I want.

But how dare him call be a control freak? I'm not letting him get away with that!

I entered my huge closet and decided to wear a cute white off shoulders for my top and a high waist fitted denim skirt. I put on my 5 inches nude pumps and applied some make up on.

Then I went back to my room, turned my laptop on and checked on the website that gives updates about the CQ competition every Wednesday. Today, they are posting the 1st update on the online survey about people's choice for the next CQ.

WAIT, WHAT THE HELL?! 

I ranked number 2 next to Alexa Salisbury? 

The Online Survey goes:

1. Alexa Salisbury -40%

2. Penelope Avery -31%

3. Clare Lastimosa -19%

4. Kamilah Salvacion -10%

There has to be a mistake!

I cannot believe this is happening! I slammed my laptop close.

I immediately ran towards the parking lot and decided to use my Tesla that dad brought for me last week. I'm still 17 but dad used his connections that made it possible for me to drive legally.

I have to see that cafeteria boy now and make sure that article will not be a complete fail.

When I entered the mall, I directly saw Vanessa and Trixie who seemed like they've been waiting for hours.

Anyone can tell from the look on their faces.

"FINALLY!" Exclaimed the ever so impatient Trixie.

"Duh, what's new?" Vanessa crossed her arms.

"So where's this person you want to tag along?" Trixie asked.

"OH MY GOD! HI GIRLS!" I turned to where the voice came from and saw Alexa, the so far number 1 on the CQ online survey. "I'M SO GLAD I GET TO MEET SOME FRIENDS HERE!"

Uggh, did she just claim herself to be a friend? 

Well, it takes one to know one. I may be good at pretending to be Ms. Perfect but this snake infront of me right now is just born to be naturally pretentious.

"You know what, you don't have to act nice when it's just the two of us here." I said bluntly and crossed my arms.

She was caught off guard. Well, I was already expecting that. "I'm sorry but I'm just trying to be nice."

"Then try harder." I rolled my eyes at her. "Your filter doesn't work on me."

She grinned and rolled her eyes at me. I knew she'd soon reveal her true colors, but I wasn't expecting it to be sooner than expected. 

"Fine. Let me get this straight, I don't like dealing with a nobody like you anyway."

I smiled, "Of course, you only deal with people who have dicks, right?"

Her eyebrows met. "What do you mean?"

I leaned closer to her and whispered, "I heard your vagina has more users than Instagram." Then I pulled away and smirked.

She gasped and looked so shocked. Got you, biatch! This is why you shouldn't get on my bad side.

Of course I did a background check on her. She goes around having sex with random people for fun. That's why she had to transfer to a new school, our school, because of a scandal.

I didn't wait for her to respond. Instead I asked her, "Why are you here anyways?"

"B-because I'm going to shop?" She tried to compose her self, but obviously failed.

"Ohh, did you know that you're stepping on what's mine?" I asked.

She looked so confused, I can't help but grin.

"What do you mean?" 

I did not answer her question and walked past her. "Have fun shopping and Good luck with the competition." And blew her a kiss. "Don't worry, your secret is safe with me. I don't play dirty."

I walked away first but I heard Vanessa say to Alexa, "Penelope's dad is the biggest shareholder of this mall, making him the owner which means, this is also Penelope's property."

"In simple words, you're just making Penelope richer by shopping here." Trixie added and I heard their footsteps following behind me.

"WHAT THE HELL? I'M NEVER STEPPING ON THIS MALL AGAIN!" I heard Alexa scream. 

I can't help but laugh.

Seriously, how is she the Top 1 on the survey?

I guess I need to try harder.

I can't lose to her.
