PENELOPE

It seems like the unlimited food treat is working today, but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't last long.

They will soon get tired of it anyway.

I have to think about my next step.

Also, I had to leave the cafeteria because that Alexa keeps on pestering me. I don't want her to ruin my mood today.

I really hate it when people come around and play like the victim to the circumstances they created themselves. They make their own storms, then they blame you for the rain. You give them a taste of their own medicine, then they tell everyone you poisoned them. I stay away from trouble, trouble walks towards me.

"Penelope, what's wrong?" Trixie asked. I was thinking too much that I didn't even notice them.

"Nothing much," I answered back. "Except that Alexa came to me earlier saying that this whole food treat is nothing compared to her irrelevant program yesterday."

"She really did that? How confident!" Vanessa asked.

"Exactly." I shrugged. "Whatever. Trust me, even if they choose to go and humiliate themselves, I would still not care."

"Right! You're just getting started. Also, you still have an article that's being made exclusively about you, right?" Trixie said.

"True! And everyone will be reading about it to get to know you. Fore sure, you'll win the crown. There's no doubt!"

If they only knew.

However, I could not disagree to them.

That article was really a good idea for people to have a more in-depth view of my life. Also, as I have mentioned before, no one in CQ history has done it.

Campaign shirts? That was too common and has been used by the CQ Candidates over the past years. That program with bands? Danica Averallo, a CQ candidate last year, has organized the same thing but still lost.

As much as I wanted to go and talk to that dork and order him to write me an article, I don't want to be pathetic. He has to apologize for calling me a brat!

Suddenly I felt my phone ring in my pocket so I checked to see who's calling.

*Daddy calling*

Wait, this is very odd.

Is Daddy really calling me?

Usually when he has something to say to me, he calls the house first and let Nana relay the message to me. So, Daddy calling me on my phone \ only happens once in a blue moon.

I suddenly felt excited, until I realized that the last time he called me was a about two years ago. I was 15 then, when I spent a lot of money buying the most latest sports car that time under his name.

The funny thing was that I didn't even know how to drive a car then.

I can't help but laugh at that silly memory.

"You know, Penelope. There's this thing called, Accept button." Vanessa spat.

I came back to my senses and realized that Daddy is still calling me. I immediately answered it.

"D-daddy?"

I'm very nervous. To think that I spent a lot of money paying for the unlimited food today, the bank probably called him.

"Penelope, come home early. We need to talk." Dad's voice is very serious.

Is he going to freeze all my bank accounts again like what he did before?
