(Me: *makes the slightest change to the storyline I had planned*

The storyline: Aight Imma head out

Me: Dammit.

So yeah this is just a short filler chapter. Yesterday I was supposed to be working on this, but I was working on one of my AUs instead, so that didn't happen. I ran out of ideas for this one, so I'm sorry if it sucks, but I wanted to put a scene like this in here.)

Chara had thought she'd known fear.

She knew the fear of her faith being forgotten. Back when she'd been a mortal girl, she'd witnessed as several people either lost faith in the gods or doubted that they cared for their happiness. She'd been face-to-face with death himself. She'd felt the fear of dying and the fear of the unknown, of what came after death. She'd even been a bit afraid of Error when she first met him. Destroying entire worlds with such ease and little effort. She'd even met Bete Noire, who was the personified form of fear.

What she had never experienced was a pissed off, enraged, older-brother-instincts-are-now-activated Nightmare. If she still had body systems, she was a hundred percent certain she would've pissed herself by now.

It most certainly felt like she was going to when he screamed. It was like the roar of a mighty beast who had just been freed from a prison, shaking the ground they were on. He was in front of her within just mere seconds, and she didn't even have enough time to process what was going on. Pain screamed from her arms. Or, elbows was the better word to use, maybe, since her forearms had just been torn off.

She looked down as a tentacle wrapped around her legs, letting out a shriek as he swung her around and slammed her into the ground. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Reaper and Error running over to the other two. She tried to push herself up, but that was a bit hard when she didn't have any arms. She didn't know how the Monster Kids did it. But Nightmare wasn't going to give her the mercy of fighting back.

Reaper bit his lip as he looked over Ink's body. Dream was unconscious in Error's strings, but his injuries looked way less severe than Ink's. The Protector of the AUs was managing to keep his eyes open, but Reaper could tell he was in pain. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a device, one that looked kind of similar to the ones he'd handed out when they entered this AU. It was blinking with light, and based off of the small vibration Reaper felt in his own pocket, he assumed it was reacting to the other devices.

When Reaper looked back over to where Nightmare and Chara had been, the Guardian of Negativity had ripped off her legs as well. A chill went down his spine when he saw the look on his face. He had never seen Nightmare with such an intent to kill before, even when he was going on otherwise pointless genocides through the AUs for his own benefit.

He almost felt bad for Chara.

(Y'all I promise the next chapter will be better please--)
