(This chapter is honestly just going to be one big meme. Enjoy. I did it like this, and ended the last chapter like that, because I couldn't decide which reaction I liked best... which continues into the next chapter.)

Pink creatures helped Betty move dishes and utensils out into the dining room.

The kettle that was on the stove whistled, alerting her to the fact that the tea was done. Humming a little tune to herself as she worked, she grabbed the kettle off of the stove and brought it over to the teapot. This morning she'd made black tea, and was going to add a little something extra to it. It was a good thing she'd summoned up some smart help, too.

"Akumu, can you grab the honey out of the cabinet?" She asked the blob.

Akumu wasted no time in fulfilling her request. He opened up one of the cabinets and grabbed onto the jar of honey, bringing it back over to Betty. She had poured the remaining black tea into a separate, smaller teapot. Thanking her most trustworthy companion, she opened up the jar and grabbed the honey dipper she'd pulled out from a drawer. Gathering the sweet condiment on the wand, she added it into the larger teapot.

"You got the nectar out already too?" She asked Akumu. "One step ahead! Thank you very much."

The reason she had poured some of the black tea into a separate teapot was because of Nightmare. Due to being an energy being and guardian... thing.... he needed certain things when it came to eating and drinking. That was what he said, anyway, but she believed that was just him wanting to seem special and unique. She poured some of the nectar into the other teapot and stirred it in, allowing Akumu to take them out to the table.

Betty grabbed the box of pancake mix and the other ingredients she would need. She poured the batter onto the pan on the stove, humming to herself more as she did a little dance with her feet. The song she was humming probably wasn't for her physical age group, which was the teenage years, but she'd heard it being played a few times. For some reason now, it was stuck in her head.

"Apple Bottom jeans, boots with the fur~," Betty sang to herself as she cooked. "The whole club was lookin' at her~!"

"BETTY!"

The spell construct let out a yelp as she twirled around, facing the person who had barged into the kitchen. Horror's hands were gripping the frame of the doorway, his sharpened fingertips digging into the wood. Which must've hurt, Betty thought, as Horror was a mortal who very much had a pain factor. He was glaring at her with that one blood red eye of his, and... was he salivating? He did look pretty pissed off, though.

"Why haven't you cooked breakfast yet!?" Horror demanded.

Betty was at a loss of words. Akumu had returned to her side by now, rested at the top of her head. She turned her head to look at the pancakes that were cooking on the stove, then looked back at Horror. She opened her mouth to speak, but Horror continued before she could utter a complete word.

"It's because of that damn Akumu!" Horror said, pointing an accusing finger at Akumu.

"But I--" Betty started, blinking in surprise.

"GIVE ME THE AKUMU NOW!!!"

Betty shrieked as Horror took off in a dash towards her, hands outstretched to grab a hold of Akumu. She clutched the blob first, hugging him to her chest as she took off running as well. As she ran down the hallway, she called out to the person she passed by.

"FINISH COOKING THE PANCAKES! I GOTTA PROTECT MY OTHER HALF!!!!"

Crescent watched as the two disappeared around the corner, rubbing the rest of the sleep from his eyes. He dragged himself into the kitchen, eyeing the stove and the bowl of pancake batter. He let out a heavy sigh, pouting as he dragged himself over to the stove to take Betty's place in the kitchen.
