It was a big blur. Everything leading up to this moment was just a mash of vagueness that you couldn't even wipe clear in your mind. Maybe it was the trauma that caused it.

"Our Senior graduating from class of  ___ with A Honor roll and valedictorian, ____"

Despite everyone being told to simply clap when their loved ones walked across the stage, you heard people who adored you screaming your name and cheering. You smiled and waved to them, your eyes coming across your two parents that was also cheering you on. After taking pictures with the principal and others, you walked off stage and saw the guys waving to you in excitement, you waving back at them. Unfortunately though, you couldn't speak to them or go to them.

Your dad got the law involved and now nafla couldn't come around you, as well as the others due to a restraining order being filed. Although it wasn't filed on the others he stated he didn't want to see you around them. Not to mention your dad got in contact with old gang members he was still close to and was able to have them also protect you. Nafla knew that compared to everyone else, the old heads weren't the type to play around.

So with that, the security guards as well as your dad's friends was there to protect you from him and the other guys even though you told him to they were of no harm. Nafla sat on his own away from everyone, his eyes set on you as you strutted back to your seat. Your eyes crossed paths with his for a brief moment and you smirked at him when it happened, the power you felt getting to your head coming on strong.

He couldn't touch you and there was nothing he could do about it. Plenty of other students came on the stage before the ceremony was over and you wanted nothing more than to just go eat something and have your graduation party.

But of course that couldn't happen just yet. Your family and friends met up outside and wanted to take pictures with each other as well as talk. In between taking photos and talking you saw the guys and felt a bit sad. Some of them had no family with them, just friends and that was it. You weren't sure if they were bothered by it since some of them had been without family for so long but it was sorrowful to witness.

"Alright we gotta go before everyone starts heading to the house" your dad said as he started walking away

"Oh yeah! Okay let's go" you said grabbing your purse and other things.

"Hey!" You heard from behind you as you were getting ready to leave. Just the voice alone made your stomach twist

"Congratulations" you heard nafla say. You said nothing back to him, your mom turning you away from him and bringing you with her

"Ignore him. He wants your attention and your reaction" she said leading you away. Ever since you and your parents were living together things got much better relationship wise and you all started getting along. It seemed like your family was mended back together and your mother was actually doing her job as a parent for once.

"I'm proud of you. You're a very strong girl for sticking in there" your dad said

That same day the party at your house was bigger than you thought it would be. And a lot of people you and your parents knew showed up.

You felt special. The day was dedicated to you and only you.

"The room for your orientation is on the paper. If you need help finding it just let me know!" The lady at the registration office for your college said.
