"We are here, m'lady. Would you like for me to open the door for you?" Asked Lucretius.
"No thank you. Thank you for escorting me," I said.
"It was my honor. Enjoy your night m'lady." With a small bow Lucretius walks off. I look at the French doors and take a deep breath before opening them.
I thought it take me awhile to get used to the dim lights but instead I found it beautifully bright enough. Beautiful tapestries lined the walls of what I can assume is a ballroom as my footsteps are muffled by them. I look up at the ceiling in awe as I realize that it's a sky view ceiling and I can see the full moon in the center of it. My eyes slowly trail down and I come face to face with Grimsley.
He's dressed in navy blue suit and black tie with his hair slightly still messy but not as crazy as it usually is. He's also wearing a masquerade mask similar to mine but instead of a dark blue background his is silver and the design is dark blue. Other than that it almost looks identical to mine. The mask made his blue eyes shine even more than what I thought was possible and I find myself unable to move nor take my eyes off of him.
It takes him taking slow strides towards me that I finally break out of my trance and slowly walk towards him as well, meeting him halfway.
"Hello Luna Accalia. You look absolutely stunning. I dare say Luna herself pales in comparison to you." Said Grimsley as he gently grasp my hand and kisses it gently, not breaking eye contact. It takes everything in me not to blush or giggle like a high school girl talking to her crush for the first time.
"I'm sure it's just the enhancements for tonight," I said.
"Hmm...if it is then it must be Luna's attempt at still being the fairest of them all for you, my love, are the fairest of them all." Said Grimsley with no hesitance as he gently leads me to the center of the ballroom.
I find myself blushing hard and try to turn my face away from Grimsley to which he gently grasps onto my chin and gently turns my face to face his. I feel his hand being gentle and the slightest resistance I give I feel Grimsley's hand become limp but I still allow myself to face him.
"If my looks aren't able to captivate you, at least I know my words can." Grimsley grins softly at me for once I see his walls dropping as he allows himself to be his true self with me. I gently reach up to grasp onto his face, to truly see that he is real and truly in front of me. That this isn't just a dream or a hallucination that I am having.
Grimsley turns his head to kiss my left hand gently before reaching up and gripping onto it to lower it. He holds onto my left hand gently grabs my right hand to put it on his shoulder. He puts his right hand on the side of my waist and pulls me closer to him. I can smell his natural scent along with cologne which seems to just enhance his scent even more.
"Do you know how to dance?" He whispered into my ear and it takes everything in me not to move my face and kiss him then and there.
"Yes. I would spend time in my room dancing, thinking about dancing with someone." I whisper back and notice the nick in his ear from when that rogue wolf had torn part of it off. I feel a wave of guilt hit me and my shoulders begin to slump. Grimsley notices this and quickly taps his foot in a rhematic pattern.
Before I can ask what he's doing I suddenly hear a song play all around us. It was "Perfect" by Ed Sheeran. I quickly look up at Grimsley to which he smiles at me.
"You can't exactly dance without a tune. I know it's not your typical dance song but I think we've learned you are completely different." Grimsley leans down towards my ear again, this time to my right side and whispers, "and that's what I love about you."
