So I originally posted this on my other book named oops but it sounded like a oneshot to much so tada

So you know how there is this thing on tik tok where it says your soulmate can hear you sing even if they are in a different universe.

Well how about a story where Marinette and Damian are both in their respective universes.

-In this whatever you write on your wrist will also show on the wrist of your soulmate-

Well... how about when marinette turns 16 she tries to start contacting her soulmate, she thinks it's Adrien.

But well... it's not. She keeps on trying and Alya tells her not to give up because there was a chance her soulmate didn't turn 16 yet.

So when Damian turns 16 and he's on patrol with babs -because Bruce is on a business trip and doesn't want him to patrol alone, he learnt his lesson with Jason- he doesn't exactly expect to be mid fight with some local gang and hear singing.

That confuses him; "why in the fuck is there singing in my head"

Which leads to; him getting jabbed in the stomach and also leads to; vomiting and getting knocked out.

-poor babs had to drag him back to the batcave- (she did it though because she's a queen)

Once at the batcave though he asks babs if she could also hear singing; which she could not. She pops up the idea that it could be his soulmate "i mean you did turn 16 today, right?" He dismisses the idea instantly.

He hates the idea of having a soulmate.

So for the rest of the year when Marinette tries to contact him he evades it, he never writes on his wrist, he never sings, he never responds so marinette starts to looses hope. Marinette gets the idea that she doesn't have a soulmate, to which Lila; takes great joy to spread the new.

So one year later when Marinette is standing on her balcony, resting against the railing looking at the Eiffel Tower and start singing softly; "I think we could do it if we tried... only to say... you're mine"

She gets shocked when she hears another voice.

- Damian came back from patrol after a particularly hard day he plopped on his bed he couldn't find a way to relax himself, that's when her heard her sing. After one year of not hearing her. He heard her sing.-

He knew the song she was singing singing the last two songs himself "you're mine"

What he did not expect was to feel his wrist tickle looking down he saw words written down on them. And that's how they start talking.

-After not to long damian ask the question; "where do you live"

-Marinette quickly jotted down "Paris and you"

-he writes Gotham.

- she puts down two question marks and asks; "Gotham like in the comic books?"

- "comic book?"

- "yeah the comic books, you know with batman and robin, they fight the joker and the others on Batman's rogues gallery sometimes robin will go with the teen titans or Jon, and Bruce would go with the justice league"

Yeah he was not expecting that. His life was a comic book? His life was entertainment for people?

- "Wait you're from Gotham and your name is Damian. You wouldn't happen to be robin, right?

- "I am actually robin, you gonna fly to Gotham to meet me?

Moral of the story there is no Gotham but he does put 2 and 2 together and concludes that marinette is ladybug. Yes he watch miraculous ladybug. He didn't want to Grayson forced him.

After a couple of months he realises he fell for marinette and he fell hard. He watched every episode of miraculous ladybug he could find. He found himself wanting to talk to her all the time. So when Grayson pops by for his 'visits'.

-they all know that Amy just scolded him for working to hard and told him to take a break and would not let him work-

And they found that the last season of miraculous ladybug was airing Damian sat down watching it with dick.

Out of nowhere he asks dick; "who's your soulmate"

Dick is just confused I mean it is Damian they're talking about

"It's babs" (look I ship these two you can change it if you don't like them)

They both go back to watching the show in quiet but dick can feel tension with Damian.

Again out of nowhere he says "I think... I fell in love with... a fictional character."

Now dick is really taken back, his brain is just like what the actual fuck, you know

So Damian clarifies. "Grayson, my soulmate is marinette" he points at the screen and dick is just like again in overdrive. This is to much for him to handle. "In her world we" he points at the two of them "are just comic book characters. And in our world she is just a tv show for kids. I've been talking to her for some time now and I think I love her, the only problem is, she's fictional"

He looks down. "The univers really has a nice way of fucking you up doesn't it" he looks up at dick. "They actually gave me someone I could see myself loving and being with and put them in another universe and told me that all I have is a garbage kids show to ever see her"

Obviously dick doesn't know what to say. "And now even that damn show is ending, yes I can still talk to her and yes I will keep on doing that but... it's fucked up it's not fair... am I that unlovable that the universe was like 'punish him, by not letting him meet his soulmate face to face but let them always be reminded of each other when the sing and write on their wrist' "

Once dick calms him down and he is done ranting he goes to the rooftop of Wayne manor and starts singing. "I think we could do it if we tried... only to say... you're... mine" he looks down at his wrist Marinette asking him what's wrong.

He tells her her show is coming to an end. "You know it's funny... I ended up falling for a fictional character"

Marinette laughs to herself, knowing he couldn't hear it. "Same, it's quite sad isn't it, we won't ever be able to see each other"

He sighs "if fate wants us to some day, some how we'll see each other

"Someday, somehow"

Okay so that was my idea of a story it's a lot of angst, I'll see if I'll ever write this story it's just been in my mind bugging me for a long, long time now.

Anyways if you are going to write this story please give me credits and yeah thx for reading.

I may think of a part to for this idk but like yeah.
