Chapter one

Megan's pov:
I woke up groaning as I rolled over to pull my curtain open to see outside and I regretted doing so when the sun blinded me. I made myself get up and managed to shower before I got into my school uniform that I despised with a passion, who even came up with the idea of uniform?
I sat infront of my mirror sorting out my hair that looked like I'd been yanked through a bush a few times.
This what I look like:

I didn't consider myself pretty but I wasn't the type to spend hours trying to impress anyone, I couldn't stand even wearing mascara let alone a full face of makeup.
My phone buzzed and I rolled my eyes answering putting it on speaker.
"Im outside. I actually woke up early this morning" vinnie spoke sounding more awake than I was and I was surprised by his call this early, he is always late.
"Come in then, I'm not ready yet" I heard him scoff and I could picture him rolling his brown eyes as he climbed out of his car, he's probably so fed up of me.
I laughed at my thoughts and then heard the door open along with chatter between my mum and my bestfriend.
"And you say I take ages to get ready"
Vinnie ran into my room and whipped his hand across my head causing my hair to mess up again after I just brushed it all out.
"Your such an idiot. Come on then" I giggled and slipped on my shoes as he threw my bag over his shoulder, he was helpful sometimes.
We both headed out after our goodbyes to my mum and then blasted music through his radio like we did every school morning, unless he didn't wake up on time.
Me and vinnie had been bestfriends since we were young because our parents knew eachother which is how most friends meet I guess and we never weren't together, well a few times we argued because he got a girlfriend who didn't like me. That happened a lot.
"The game is gonna be mad!" One of vinnies friends jumped onto his back and laughed being weird like most guys at our school. "Hi Meg" he winked at me. "Hi Noah" I rolled my eyes and began to walk to my first class where I sat beside my other closest friend Abbie. She was new here last year sat by herself at lunch so I decided to greet myself to her and now we get along really well, even vinnie would say hi to her sometimes while he stole my snacks at lunch.
This was Abbie:

She was probably one of the most beautiful girls I had ever met and she got a lot of attention from guys all the time, it was quite entertaining listening to all her sex stories even if some of them made me cringe. Abbie would spend time with me in school while vinnie sat with his football friends who included payton moormeier, the one guy Abbie couldn't keep her eye off of and no matter how many times she denied it I knew she fancied him.
"You going to the party after the game?".
"What party?" I raised an eyebrow confused to why I hadn't heard about this and I wondered if there was a party ,would vinnie be going?
"Yeh it's at Daisys" so that's why it hasn't been mentioned.
Daisy was the popular stuck up girl at the school who walked around like she owned the place and for some reason she liked to pick on me, I had never done anything to her but for as long as I can remember she's always had a problem with me.
"I might just stay home. I have so much work to catch up on" I saw the disappointment in my friends face but knew she wouldn't push it and I felt bad always rejecting parties but I didn't have time to dress up, I didn't do that type of stuff. The closest thing to dolling myself up I had been was when My mum got married to my step dad, even then I hated all the makeup and having to wear heels.
It felt like I was walking on stilts.
"Payton asked me to go watch him at the game, I thought he would've got Cierra to go" Abbie shot a dirty look over to daisys bestfriend and I laughed finding her hatred of the girl funny, the amount of times they've argued over payton was hilarious.

When the end of the day came by I got to my studying like I said I would and munched on some cookies because they were the only thing I could find in the house, my mum was shopping tonight after work though so I didn't complain too much.
I played some quiet music in the background but I couldn't focus even with it off and I eventually gave up studying after an hour to take a nap.

"Wake up sleepy head" my eyelids fluttered open and I rubbed my face seeing vinnie stood above me with a bag in his hands.
"How did you get in" I groaned sitting up and watched him pour snacks onto my bed piling my lap.
"Your mum let me in" he smiled and leaned over me to grab the blanket making himself at home like he always did.
He climbed into bed with me snuggling up to my teddy bear getting comfortable and I just giggled turning to face him as I led back down.
"How was the party?" I asked and vinnie shrugged.
"I left with daisy for a bit" I stayed silent at the mention of her name and looked down fidgeting with the teddy vinnie was hugging.
"I'm staying here tonight" he finally spoke after that awkward moment and I was glad he cut it off instead of waiting for me to reply.
"Who says" I grinned watching him laugh.
"I did" vinnie moved closer to me and yawned as he grabbed a bar of chocolate gesturing me to have some
But I shook my head letting him
Devour it himself.
I watched him as he turned the tv on playing a movie and then when he slowly drifted off to sleep on my chest i tilted my head following his breathing, he looked so peaceful.
I smiled as he lifted his hand grabbing onto me and I closed my eyes feeling comforted by his presence while I drifted off too.
