Chapter eighteen

Megan's pov:
I lay on vinnies chest and I felt happy just being there in his arms being able to hear his heartbeat, I loved that sound more than anything.
"We should plan that trip at the cabin with Abbie now that she's with Payton" I looked up at him and smiled.
"What?" He asked pulling a strand of my hair behind my ear.
"Nothing, Your just cute" I grinned cheesily and placed my arms around his neck before kissing him, I love how his lips felt against mine.
Vinnies phone buzzed a few times and I climbed off of him so he could see who it was but he seemed to not wanna know.
"Just answer" I pointed to the device that was beeping every few seconds and it seemed like someone was desperate to get ahold of him.
I watched his face drop as he read through the texts and he clenched his jaw before climbing out of my bed shoving his shoes on.
"I gotta go" vinnies mood seemed to change and I didn't like it when he did this, he's so annoying sometimes.
"Oh ok" I sat up and then raised an eyebrow confused.
"I have to go see my father, he wants to have dinner" I nodded at his words and then hugged him goodbye then he disappeared off driving away.
I sighed looking up at my ceiling now being bored without him here, I need more friends.
I leaned up onto my elbows and began to type to Abbie until I saw vinnies school bag in the corner of my room. I picked it up and stared at it for a few moments until I decided to see if that note was in there. I rummaged through only seeing books and pens that were absolutely wrecked, typical.
Before I stopped searching I caught a sticky note hanging out of one of his textbooks, why was it stuck inbetween the pages like that? I pulled it off and turned it over to see some handwriting that I recognised straight away, I read the note.

I gulped and felt a horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach, surely he wasn't still seeing daisy?
I decided to pull on my coat and drive to his house to drop off his school bag making sure I put the note back where it was, he wouldn't be happy if he knew I went through his stuff.
I stopped the car and jumped out almost slipping on the icy path but caught myself just in time before I walked up to his house.
I crossed the road and just when I was about to walk to the door it opened.
My heart stopped and I felt all the colour drain from my face as I saw daisy stood there beside vinnie. My eyes went down to their hands that were intertwined and I felt the vomit threatening to come up as he chased me to my car.
"Megan! Let me explain" he hit his fists against my car window as I drove away and I didn't even look back, I just left not wanting to believe it. I needed to get away.
I parked and quickly threw my head out of the car feeling the acid pour from my mouth making tears fall from my eyes and I wanted to disappear, I wanted this feeling to go away.
"Are you ok?" I looked up to see Luke stood there in a long brown coat with a pair of glasses over his blue eyes and I wiped my mouth feeling a bit embarrassed but also not caring about anything at the moment.
I stood up trying to steady myself and he stared at me with worry in his eyes when he came over to me.
"Vinnie is with daisy" I sobbed and even saying their names made me want to throw up again.
"Come here" Luke pulled me into his arms and I cried into his soft coat surprisingly feeling safer against him as he comforted me.
I looked up to his tall figure and his thumb gently wiped my tears away as he stared down searching my face, why was he being so nice to me?
"Thankyou" I grabbed his hand and then he tensed shocked by my sudden touch so I pulled away quickly.
"I just want to make sure your ok" Luke leaned down a bit to try look at my face properly and I smiled slightly with a nod appreciating his concern.
And vinnie told me to stay away from him, I think it should be the other way round after what he's done. I couldn't believe he'd lie to me and not only just that, he'd taken daisy to his house without even telling me. I knew the history between them two and I didn't trust either of them at all, I didn't care how harsh I sounded.

Luke sat on the bench with me for a while as I stayed silent trying to calm the many emotions I was feeling and I was so glad I wasn't alone even if we didn't speak. "Wanna talk about it?" I shook my head and then smiled thanking him once again for being so patient with me.
When I was about to finally stop sobbing over the situation I felt Luke's eyes on me and I raised an eyebrow. "What?" I giggled slightly.
"Sorry, Your just...beautiful" my tummy filled with butterflies and I would've felt bad but at this point I was too upset to even think about it as I placed my lips to Luke's.
He seemed shocked at first but then got used to it and started to attach his mouth with mine, he's a really good kisser.
I felt a loss as he pulled away and I frowned confused.
"What is it?im sorry" I looked down to my feet and suddenly felt heat rush up to my face and my ears.
I'm so stupid.
"No, no it's fine" he placed his hand over mine. "It's just your upset and you know...vinnie" I rolled my eyes hearing his name again.
"Well he's with daisy so" I bit the inside of my mouth and stood up patting the dirt from my legs. "I should go" before I could walk off like stood up too and hugged me once again.
"Call me if you need me" he kissed my hair and I sent him a small smile as I walked back to my car where I drove in silence.
I headed up to my room as soon as I got home and I buried my face into my pillow trying to stop the thoughts driving me mad, I didn't want to keep thinking about him right now.
I started to pull on a loose string attached to my pillow case and as that distracted me I soon drifted off to sleep dreaming about Luke...
