The father

CARLA'S POV:
"W-What?" I said under my breath.
Pregnant? No she can't be. I didn't, couldn't, say anything. What if Steve is the father? I'm so happy for her but if the child's dad is Steve then she's going to raise the baby independently. No. I'll be there for her 100%.
"Carla say something?"
"Is Steve the father?"
"No."
"Oh thank god. So, you and Hamish are having a baby!" At this point I was so much happier for her! She's found happiness with Hamish. It's about time she did.
"Congratulations darlin'!"
"Carla, the only thing is-"
"What darlin'?"
"I don't think Hamish is the father. It might be someone else. I... It could be-"
"Oh Chelle, you haven't been having an affair behind Hamish's back have yer?"
"Well-"
"Oh Chelle."
I looked at her and I couldn't think of Chelle even flirting with another man. Let alone sleeping with someone else. I thought her and Hamish were happy. Obviously not.
"Is this 'mystery man' the father?"
"I'm pretty sure he is. But he's in a committed relationship Carla! It was a few nights. And we weren't exactly... Careful."
"So the father of your child is in a relationship? Care to tell me who it is?"
"Well. He's in a relationship with Maria. You can finish the puzzle."
I was astonished!
"Luke?!"
She looked at me with the puppy dog eyes she does when she's begging for help.
"Oh darlin'." I gave her a hug and said
"You do realise what you need to do now right? You need to end it with Hamish and tell Luke. He'll be there for you. If he won't then I will 100% alright?"
"Okay I know."
MICHELLE'S POV:
Last night Carla was so supportive once I told her. I was on my way to Luke's when I bumped into Hamish.
"Hey Michelle."
"Oh hi Hamish."
"Still up for tonight at The Rovers?"
"Uh yeah sure."
It was probably the most awkward conversation I'd ever had as I completely forgot about tonight. I've been concentrated on telling Luke! I guess tonight is the time for me to tell Hamish. But how? I don't want to break his heart.
