Baby Britton

MICHELLE'S POV:
I woke up feeling dizzy, I saw Luke and Carla sitting by my side as they both smiled at me.
"Where's my baby?" I asked, getting up in a panic.
"Chelle, don't worry. Our beautiful, healthy little princess is fine." Luke calmed me down and kissed me on the forehead. "You need some rest."
"Can we go see her?" I asked.
"Oh yeah, I want to meet my gorgeous niece!" Carla said excitedly. I quickly got out of bed and Luke put his arm around me for extra support while Carla was in front.

I couldn't believe how beautiful she was. Lying there, all 10 fingers and toes wiggling. Her big eyes closed as she dreamt away. Luke hugged me as I started to cry, followed by Carla. But we weren't sad, we were happy. Me and Luke had brought a little princess into the world! My thoughts were interrupted.
"Should we start thinking of names?" Luke asked me and I thought about it. I needed a name that suited my baby, but I just couldn't think of any. But then Carla suggested one that we loved, wanted and gave to my daughter.

CARLA'S POV:
We went back to the room and started packing our things as the nurse said Chelle will be discharged from the hospital that morning. When we were almost done Luke went to get the baby dressed and to put her in her push chair ready for when we left.
I must say driving back with a baby screaming in the back of your car is really unsettling, but Michelle soon quieted her down.

We entered the flat and we unpacked the baby's things.
"I'm going to take her to Maria's in a minute for her to meet her."
Chelle said as she stroked the sleeping baby's soft cheek.
"I'll come with." I quickly changed and then got my handbag.
"I'm going to make sure we've got everything while your gone babe." Luke shouted out of the door as we left the block of flats. A few Coronation Street residents stopped to look at the baby as we walked to the salon. Including, you guessed it, Sally, Sinead, Tyrone, Izzy and Anna. We also popped into Roy's and he met the baby and gave her a little cuddle. Her face shone when she saw Roy I'm telling you! He's like her other grandad!
We walked into the Salon and we were welcomed by David's slurry voice. "She's in the back."
"Ta." Michelle and I said together.
"Aw! She's absolutely gorgeous!" Maria said, she was interrupted by the ringing of my phone. I checked it and it was Peter. I went outside the salon to take the call and told the girls it was Hanlin.
"Well hello Mr Barlow." I said smiling.
"Mrs Connor? Your next appointment has been booked with Peter Barlow for tonight at 9:30." Peter said laughing.
"Haha, can't wait." I said laughing back. "Where are you now?"
"Look to your right." He said. As I looked towards Dev's I noticed Peter standing outside the door with a fag. He winked at me as I smiled and walked back into the salon.
Maria was holding the baby as Michelle said, "Meet Chloe Britton." I stopped and smiled. I was amazed by how much Michelle ha recovered since Steve had attacked her. She was back to My Michelle thanks to Luke and baby Chloe.
