'Car... Carla? Please tell me you're there?' This mysterious caller was no longer mysterious.
'No Peter, it's Michelle. Carla isn't in her own mind at the moment and after you ripping her life apart I don't think she'll be too happy to see you. Especially when she's hungover. Peter, you need to give her space. She's just got her life back on track! She's focussing on the business and if you just parade in here and beg her for another chance then all of your memories together will just come flooding back like a flipping waterfall.'
'Please Chelle, I just really want to see her.'
'Fine come up, and one thing goes out of place and you're out. Do you get me?'
'Yes, yes thank you.'
'Oh and Peter one more thing.'
'Yeah, what?'
'Don't call me Chelle.'

So yes. Don't judge me, I let him up. But I never said I wanted to. Only because he sounded really desperate, and I knew that he wouldn't go away. The last thing Carla needs is him destroying what she's got left and I'm the only thing she has left.

I heard running footsteps getting louder and louder towards the front door and was followed by a desperate knock. What was weird was that the only thing standing between the person that took everything from Carla and the only thing he had left behind was a door. So I opened it.

'What do you want Peter?'
'Chelle... I mean Michelle, I never meant to hurt her-'
'Well congratulations, you did.'
'I really want her back. I'm weak! I want her with all my heart.'
'You should have thought about that when you were sleeping with someone half your age on your wedding night to the woman who only wanted kids with you and nobody else. Admit it. You're not weak. You just wanted some more fun when you already had enough fun in your life. You just had the affair with Tina because you could.'
'In my defence, we didn't... you know... have sex on mine and Carla's wedding night.'
'Oh, Peter that's such a relief! That makes everything else okay does it?'
'I didn't mean that I just-'
'You what? Lost everything? Because you did. Congratulations.'
