Chapter 13: The Date

A/n: still in JJ's Pov

Holy shit, this dress is so beautiful, I will have to thank Penelope and Rossi later. It was 5:00, so I still had 2 hours before Emily would be here, enough time to get ready. The dress was a blue off the shoulder, almost silky dress, it also had a nice little train on the back. All Rossi told me about Emily's outfit was that it was a black on black suit. I couldn't wait because I love Emily in suits. All of a sudden I felt a sharp pain in my stomach, almost like a braxton hicks, but more intense. I shrugged it off because I figured as time went on they would just continue to hurt a little more as time went on.

It was now 6:55 and since the last time I have felt the sharp pains 2 or 3 more times. Right as another came, I heard the doorbell ring. As it passed, I got up and slowly walked to the door. I opened it revealing Emily in a black on black suit as Rossi had said, what he forgot to mention was that she only wore the black slacks, and a black blazer. God damn, she is so fucking hot. The things I would do to her if I was fucking pregnant.

"JJ, you ok?" that sentence caused me to come out of my head and brought me back to the stunning woman in front of my eyes. She wore a dark red shade of lipstick with some mascara and eyeliner. She looked so amazing and I couldn't tear my eyes off of her. "I am perfectly fine." I smiled, I can't believe she is really mine.

"First things first Jennifer, you look absolutely stunning."

"Thank you baby, are you ready to head out, for our probably last date night for a while?" I say while chuckling and looking down at my huge ass belly.

"I couldn't be more ready. Let us venture into the night." she sends me a smirk and extends her hand for me to take, which I do with no hesitation.

We started our drive to the mystery location we were going to. The drive was full of us talking, about the twins, work, and all the things we saw on the drive. Sure enough Rossi let us borrow one of his cars, and of course Emily picked the Maserati, she has always wanted to drive one. I'm not going to lie, the MC20 was an amazing car, but I also prefer the Tesla because it has a lot more safety features that this car just did not. I was so focused on our conversations, that I did not even realize that we had started our drive up a mountain.

After 30 minutes of driving we pulled into a gravel driveway, and I realized what she was doing. I had mentioned that one of these days that I wanted to drive up above the city after dark and have dinner while overlooking the city, I can't believe she really did all of this for me.

As we started walking towards the front of the restaurant I got another one of those pains, but a little worse, so I stopped and was waiting for it to pass and of course I had to be holding Emily's hand at the time so my first instinct was to squeeze her hand. "Hey JJ, what's wrong? Are you ok, do you need anything."

"I'm fine, it was just another braxton hicks." I say while letting out a breath, at this point, I'm not even sure I believe myself.

"You sure?" she looked me square in the eyes, hers full of concern. I nod.

"Yeah, because I'm not due for another 3 weeks. I promise I'm fine love." she doesn't look convinced but she takes my word for it.

As we walk into the restaurant I realize this is way above our pay-grade. Elizabeth. But I look back and as I look over the city, I can see how beautiful it really is, the lights varying in height, because of the taller buildings, the stars in the sky above them, colors from every part of the color spectrum. Could this date get any better.

After wandering around a little bit more I find Emily at a table, right by a window that faces right toward the city. She and the city are more beautiful than I could ever imagine, I can't help but stare. I want this moment to last forever, I took a mental picture because I thought that it couldn't get any better, but then it did. She looked over to me and sent me a smile that just lit up my entire world, I looked into the eyes that made me fall in love with her, I saw her eyes light up as she looked over to me, there was nothing but genuine love and happiness. I couldn't believe that I was here right now, with her. I couldn't help but smile as I looked over at the woman I loved and wanted nothing more than to spend the rest of my life with her.
