Chapter 9: Mother

A/n: I know I usually always start with something like "long time no see" but I lowkey think that it is kind of annoying. I honestly don't know how long it will take me to update the story. I also wanted to apologize for the last chapter, I have never written smut before, I usually don't write in general, so this is all really new to me. Also I wanted to thank you all so much for your guys' support and patience with me. I have no idea where I want to go with this story, should I end it with JJ having the baby , or should they have multiple children, I might also start adding dates and places just so you guys know how much time passes during the story. Alright let's get back to the story. This will be a long one.

December 20, 2019 

 BAU Bullpen

JJ's Pov:

It has been 2 months since that little incident back at the hotel and Emily and I have just settled into our new town-home that we bought together to raise the baby in. It is in a nice neighborhood, quiet, nice people, and very close to an elementary school and close to our work. I'm kind of freaking out right now, because in 10 minutes Emily and I are leaving to go to an appointment to find out the gender of our baby, then we will head back to work. I was just finishing up my last report when Emily walked over to my desk. "Hey baby, ready to go?" she asked with her purse and keys in hand. "Yep, let me just finish this report." A couple minutes later we walked into Hotch's office letting him know that we were about to leave and that we would be back in about an hour. The drive to the doctor's office was about a 15 minute drive or so. We held hands the entire way.

After I checked in we settled down in the waiting room. "Emily, can you please stop pacing, it's really stressing me out."

"I'm sorry baby, I'm just like really nervous, but also extremely excited at the same time." I grabbed her hand while she walked in front of me, bringing it up to my mouth and kidding it."Em, the baby will be just fine, just like it has been each time."

"Yeah, you're right, I'm sorry."

"Nothing to be sorry about, baby. I like seeing this protective motherly side to you." We exchanged a smile. We waited for about 10 more minutes before we were called back, to finally find out the gender of our child. "Alrighty," the gynecologist said as she walked in the room " good afternoon Jennifer, Emily. Okay so Jennifer how are you feeling today."

"I am actually feeling surprisingly well you know, considering the circumstances." we all let out a small laugh.

"Well I am happy to say that all the basic tests look amazing. Like your vitals, weight, ect. So all that's left to do is find out the gender. This might be a little cold" she says as she puts the cold gel-like substance on my stomach. Then we hear this "Oh my..."

Emily's Pov:

What in the hell. JJ and I were completely petrified at what we heard. Our break was almost over and we were making our way into the bullpen when I see the one person in the world that I do not want to see right now. The same raven hair as me, but her posture was very straight, she went with a natural makeup look, the exact same as she wore when I was a kid.

"Emily Elizabeth Prentiss, why have you not been returning my calls. Making me drive all the down here just to find out that you aren't out saving the world but rather just choosing not to talk to me. Have you even thought about the Christmas gala tomorrow night? Dear god you probably have not, after work come to the house and I will have your dress custom made; it will be ready by tomorrow afternoon."

"Well hello to you to mother. I trust the ride over was satisfactory enough for you?" I say with so much sarcasm I'm surprised she didn't slap me right then and there.
