(24) Training

Y/n's POV

We walked downstairs to the dining area, passing some corridors.

"This house is massive. I mean, it's bigger than my head! I don't know how you memorize every part of this." Tuffnut scanned his surroundings. He was rambling since we left my room. "And this hallway is way longer than Ruffnut's chin." He put his hand on his sister's chin, shaking her face.

I snorted a laugh, Ruffnut smacked Tuffnut's hand away, elbowing him slightly.

"Hey!" Astrid ran to us, the gang beside her.

I smiled at her as we fist bumped.

Fishlegs squealed, "Y/n, when is the coronation!?"

"What?" I raised an eyebrow, confused for a momment before realising what he meant. "Oh..." my face turned a little sour. "I-it'll took awhile. I need to learn more things before stepping to it."

The twins continued to fight about some random stuff while Snotlout ranted about being hungry.

"Uh, by the way, how does this news spreads like a wild fire? H-how did you know I'm gonna be the future queen?" I glanced at Astrid.

She smirked, pointing her thumb backward.

I followed where she was pointing. Dervin was nudging Hiccup with a teasing look. He was saying something to him, but I wasn't able to hear any of it. They both froze when they saw me staring at them. I raised an eyebrow to them, giving a suspicious look before facing forward.

When we arrived at the dining area, we sat on the huge table with everyone. Mae was on my right while I had Astrid on my left.

The room was filled with loud chittering and laughter. I sliced the meet on my plate, eating quietly when someone tug slightly on my sleeve.

I look down at Mae, humming.

"When are you going to teach me how to fly Rocksalt?" She asked.

"Ugh. I completely forgot about this." I rubbed the bridge of my nose, sighing. "We'll start tomorrow or in a few days."

She nodded, smiling. "No worries, it's not a rush."

I look at her, surprised that she wasn't being stubborn today.

She snuggled to me, Hiccup sent us a kind smile, sitting across me.

"Am I hearing this correctly? Or you're just saying that because you need another favor?" I rubbed her back as she stared at me for a second.

Mae waved her hand, motioning for me to lean down.

"Huh, knew it." I smirked and leaned down.

"Please tell me what did you and big bro talked about?" She whispered, looking up at me with a pleading eyes.

"Hmph. Sure." I smiled, ruffling her hair.

"You two are so attached to each other. It looks quiet cute." Hiccup looked at us.

I stared back at him. His green eyes were so warm and inviting, it reminded me of a home. I felt Mae nudged me as she pull away from me.

"I- yeah, she's annoying sometimes though." I chuckled, focusing on my food again.

I yelped as something hit me on my head. I felt some warm liquid dripped from my hair. I put my hand in my hair, there was a soup on it. I glanced where it came from, but a huge fish flew straight to my face, knocking me back slightly.

I grunted, wiping some food on my face and my hair. I look around again, food was flying everywhere.

"Food fight!" I heard Snotlout scream before a plum flew to Fishlegs, hitting him in his shoulder.
