(8) The New Girl

Y/n's POV

It has been a few days since we left the edge. We've stayed here at berk to celebrate the snoggletog and now we're packing our things up and getting ready to return to our island.

Our little vacation here on berk was amazing. We used to help around the people and play with the kids when we are bored. The funny thing was when the kids saw Astrid with her yaknog, they will disappear within seconds and I can't blame them 'cause that yaknog was terrible and it smells a lot awful.

"Everyone ready?" Hiccup asked while looking back at us.

We nodded at him as he pat Toothless' head. The dragon shot up to the sky and we followed the two. As we got up high, we look down at berk to see everyone was waving at us. I waved back at them and I saw that the gang was doing the same.

We flew straight towards the edge but in the middle of our flight, we saw something floating in the ocean. It was a girl with a little wood plank under her, making her float in the middle of the ocean. We flew down to get a closer look at her, I don't know why but I've got a bad feeling about this.

"Uh.. Who is she" Snotlout asked.

"I don't know but I think someone needs our help" Hiccup dove to grab the girl.

We head towards the edge and when we got there, Hiccup put her in his bed. The riders had a looks of worried on their faces while I lean on the door frame, frown on my face.

"Hey, you okay?" Hiccup came to me as I shook my head, looking down.

"I... I don't know what's in me but... I... I have a feeling that something wrong is about to happen." I sighed and look at him at the eyes. Hiccup chuckled slightly which makes me a little uncomfortable.

"Okay, maybe you're just paranoid after the last attack of dragon hunters. I mean, what could go wrong? It's just a girl, Y/n. And if she has a plan of hurting us, I'm sure we're gonna find it."

"You know it's better to become paranoid than to become unsafe, right?" I said nonchalantly, crossing my arms in my chest.

"Hiccup! Y/n! she's awake!" Fishlegs shouted to us from the second floor.

Hiccup and Toothless ran upstairs. I looked at Lightstar then sighed lazily. I slowly walked to the 'new girl.' My dragon was behind me, we both feel that something's not right.

When we got to the upper floor, the girl with brownish-red hair and gray eyes was sitting on Hiccup's bed. She gasp as she saw Toothless and Lightstar near her. She looked like she was gonna pass out any minute.

I smirked as I look to my right, hiding my amused face. 'Pathetic little brat.' I thought to myself as I heard Hiccup comforting her.

"It's okay, it's okay. They're our friends" Hiccup gestured to his dragon. The 'innocent girl' seemed to calm down a bit.

"What's your name?" I asked. I tried to hide the harshness in my voice but it still came out a little cruel. My arms were still crossed in my chest as I stare at her coldly. After a while she answered.

"Frida, Frida Nord." She replied sweetly. I scoffed then rolled my eyes. Her sweetness was obviously fake.

'Yeah, right. Your name doesn't suit you at all. Wait why am I being rude?'

"Where am I?"

"You're on dragon's edge." Fishlegs answered with a smile.

'Ugh. Seriously? Why is everybody so nice to her?' I'm mentally talking to myself. I looked at Dervin and he had a stern face. He had his doubt too.
