I looked around the cafe as I sipped my almost cold coffee.
Vanessa should have been here 30 minutes ago but I haven't even seen her shadow.
Just as I was about leaving the cafe, Vanessa walks in looking like a girl who just arrived in a civilized land. Her hair looks rough and her face pale.
'What's up Jada, sorry I kept you waiting. I woke up late due to hang over because of last night's party" Vanessa explained as she grabbed a sit beside me.
"That's hilarious considering the fact that you had only 5 glasses of red wine" I retorted as I lit my stick of Malboro cigarettes.
'You want some?" I offered her he cigerattes.
'No thanks I'm having terrible migraine. I can't smoke" Vanessa replied.
"Just because of five glasses of Escudo Rojo, I mean that's comical" I replied.
"Uh oh did you just casually talk about five glasses of Escudo Rojo red wine? You are underrating the effect of five glasses of Escudo?" Vanessa asked dumbstruck at how I casually talked about the wine.
"Yes it contains only 14% alcohol. Five glasses of that wine is overrated" I replied with a shrug.
"OMG Jada you are sick. I literally puked on Brian's face last night when he was trying to take me to our bedroom." Vanessa screamed causing people in the cafe to look at us. Just a glare from me reminded them of the reason why they were there-to have coffee.
"Poor Brian. He has to keep up with you puking on his face. I would have dumped you if I were him" I said as I lit another cigeratte.
"Brian can never dump me. I mean what lady would give him all what I do?" Vanessa asked.
"Says a lady who doesn't know how to prepare noodles without it turning into a burnt offering" I replied with a smirk on my face.
"Food isn't everything you know. What's food compared to a beautiful girl like me?" Vanessa asked.
"Any substance consumed by living organism especially by humans to sustain life" I replied her with a robotic as I looked her in the eye.
"You sounded like a clown at first till I got it that you were defining food" Vanessa replied as she took out a stick of my Malboro cigarettes.
"I drank 5 cans of beer, 3 glasses of Escudo Rojo red wine, had some edible brownies and took Coke and here I am today still having Malboro cigeratte" I explained with a smirk.
"Jada you can't compare yourself with me. You are bad girl Jada" Vanessa replied.
"And you are what?" I asked her with a smug look on her face.
"Your student" Vanessa replied as our laughters erupted like volcano.
"Shall we?" I asked Vanessa as she nodded her head and we walked out of the cafe like lovers.
(Later in the evening)
I kicked open the door as I entered inside the house to see my dad, mum, Becca, kid brother Zion and my twin brother Jayden sitting watching a Christian documentary.
I regarded them for a second before I walked to my bedroom ignoring their call.
I needed to take a quick shower and get dressed as I was going to a party where I'd meet a lot of people. I was also going to meet Leonard Armstrong, the leader of the deadliest mafia in Las Vegas.
I quickly take my bath and slip into my crazy short Jean and my white crop top. I compliment it with my awegift personalized name necklace made with hypoallergenic metal which had the inscription 'Bad girl Jada' on it. It was a gift from my first boyfriend who was a member of a mafia.
I put on my black Adidas shoes and take my black handbag.
I use a little of my perfume 'seduction'.
Happy at the sight in front of me as I stared at the mirror, I am good to go.
I walk downstairs as I opened the door to leave.
"Stop dear Jada, where do you think you are going to dressed like a courtesan, a lady of the night? Don't you know my position in the church? Don't you know I'm a deacon?Don't you know that dressing like this is a sin? Do you want to cause people to sin? Do you want them to go the wide way?For it is written.." My father asked angrily.
"My body is the temple of God and I must keep it holy. Guess what dad? This body is no longer God's temple. It has been defiled both by men, women, drugs and every other bad things you can think of" I replied hotly.
I have been bottling pain and anger since. I guess it's time to let it out.
"Jesus! When did you become like this? When did you become a puppet in the hands of Satan? Look at your twin brother Jayden. He is in his second year in the university. Your younger sister Becca is about to enter but you are a school drop out, a gigolo, a street walker, a tout. Why Jada Elizabeth Williams? Why have you brought this great shame upon this family? Why are you a bad egg in this family?" My father screamed angrily.
"Yes Dad I'm a bad egg. Yes Mom I'm a bad egg. You both caused this. You caused me to tread on this path. Whatever I do, you never appreciate. I remember those days when I do stuffs, hoping to get your praise, your approval. But no I never got that. All I got was your insults, your painful words. Jada you could have done better, Jada why did you get 75% while your brother got 90%? Jada, Becca could have done this better! That's all I get from you. For the past 19 years of my life, I've been yearning for your approval. I've been yearning for my father's praise, my mother's love but no I don't have such.
I decided two years ago that I would make sure I drag this family name to the mud. Since I can't get your praise for doing something good, I can at least get your insults and contempt for doing something bad" I screamed as tears rolled off my eyes.
"I'm sorry we made you feel these way. We wanted you to do better my dear. We love you as much as we love your siblings" my mom begged as tears rolled off her eyes.
"We can make it work daughter. We can." My father begged.
"It's too late mom, it's too late dad for the word of the Lord say that it would be very difficult for those who know the path of the Lord and deviate from it to come back. I'm no longer willing to change.
This is who I am now.
This is what I've become.
A street walker, a lady of the night, bimbo, gigolo, courtesan, hooker or whatever you choose to call me.
I can't change mom. I can't change dad. Do you know why?
Because I am bad girl Jada" I said as I lit a stick of cigarette and walked out of the house, slamming the door.
