I woke up from bed grudgingly.
I slept late at night because I was watching a documentary about Ted Bundy.
I know that you are surprised but I'm obsessed with documentaries about serial killers.
I always wonder what prompts them to kill.
                              I looked at June angrily.
She was the one who disturbed me and made me get up from bed.
"What is the problem June? Why did you wake me up?" I asked as I stared at June angrily.
June didn't utter a word instead she looked at me with her green eyes as if pestering me to come see something.
"What's your problem June?" I asked once again, panic rising in my body.
June appeared too scared to make a sound instead she ran out of my room while I followed her quickly.
She ran down the stairs and pushed a door leading to my basement.
"What is in there, June?" I asked as I cautiously walked into the dark basement.
As soon as I entered, I felt someone push me causing me to fall.
I quickly turned on my flash light but I didn't see anything.
I looked at June who stayed at the entrance of the basement.
She appeared worried but she couldn't express herself.
"What's that June?" I asked as I hugged her.
She shook her head as she ran out of the basement leaving me alone.
I sprinted out of the basement and locked the door with a big padlock.
                              I blame myself for real.
I should have locked my basement from the beginning.
If I had done so, an intruder wouldn't have entered my house.
I sat in my parlour as I brought out my phone to call the cops.
I quickly dropped my phone back on my table.
Calling the cops means setting myself up.
If I called the cops and they came into my house, they might start to wonder what sort of person I am.
I have lots of books about serial killers, various videos, gruesome videos and so on and so forth.
                              Moreso, I'm into internet fraud.
The cops might find out all this about me and I don't want to take the risk.
I quickly took my bath while keeping a knife at arm's length.
After my bath, I dressed June up with a fine short and pink shirt with a cap.
I needed to take her to her doctor as she was evidently sick and scared. She also had a kind of ear infection that needed to be treated.
I dropped June with her doctor while I went to my work place.
"Hi Tasha" my colleague Franca greeted me with a smile on her face.
"Hi Franca" I replied with a forced smile.
"How was your night?" Franca asked.
"I had a great night rest" I replied as I didn't want to divulge into details.
"That's great" Franca replied as she continued working.
I worked as an IT in a big company. I'm a computer genius and a great hacker.
Franca is just like me. She isn't a great IT professional but isn't as bad as me.
"Hi Tasha" David greeted with a weird smile as he looked me up to down.
                              "Hi Dave" I replied curtly.
David is a colleague of mine who wants to have a relationship with me but I blatantly told him no.
Since then, he has been on my neck.
He once trailed me to my house and I was really pissed.
"How was your night Tasha?" He asked as he smirked.
"It was fine" I replied as I furiously typed on my computer.
"Hope you had a great night rest? And oh how is dear June?" He asked.
"Since when did you start caring about June? I thought you said you hate her and her species?" I asked as I glared at him.
"I don't like June but I just decided to be nice and ask of her well being." He replied as he raised his hand up.
Could he be the intruder? Could he be the one who made me fall in my basement? How did he get in there? I thought as I looked at him.
"What is Tasha thinking?" He asked with a smile.
"You broke into my house didn't you?" I asked angrily as I grabbed his shirt.
"What? Break into your house? Why do you think so? Why do you think I can do such a stupid thing?" He asked as he laughed.
"Because you have a record of breaking into houses with solid doors, you can cut a protector of a house in 5 minutes, you broke into a well secured house without anyone noticing" I replied angrily.
"That was 15 years ago Tasha. I was only 14. Those records don't count. Why do you think I broke into your house? You have nothing I can cart away with" David replied.
"I know so because you are a stupid stalker and you broke into my house" I replied angrily.
"For a woman who loves horror movies and serial killers documentaries, you shouldn't be scared. Look at you. You are 2 seconds to peeing in your pant. I.."
I didn't allow him to end his stupid speech as I slapped him.
"You better fuck off from my house" I said as I angrily walked out grabbing my bag
It was closing time already.
I picked June from her doctor as I drove home angrily.
As soon as we got to my house, June started licking me causing me to laugh.
"I bless the day I chose you as my cat June" I said as I kissed my cat.
Once again, June wagged her tail and ran towards the basement kicking the door furiously.
I opened the door as I held until my pepper spray.
I was suddenly disarmed by the sight I saw.
It was a beautiful cat with 4 new born kittens.
It was Molly, June's best friend. She was a stray cat who was pregnant.
She was the one in my basement.
June was worried because she was still a young cat.
She had never given birth.
I heaved a sigh of relief as I smiled and carried the kittens into the kitchen to prepare some milk for them and their momma.
