It was 4 years since Cassandra had left to find her destiny, and all her friends were seriously missing her. Yes, she would sent them monthly letters to tell them how she was getting on and they would send her letters back asking when she would be back or if she was able to come for a small visit. But there was one certain young alchemist who was suffering greatly of her absence. Varian.
A couple hours away from Corona sat the girl who had left to find her destiny, Fidella happily playing in a lake, splashing around.
Normally Cassandra wouldn't allow Fidella to play in the water, but today was an exception as Fidella was needing a wash anyway, plus, it was a special day for her and for her friends.
"Okay girl, that's enough playing for now, come and lay in the sun so you can dry off, we need to get going in about half an hour if we want to make it to Corona before sunset." Cass said as she sat under a tree on the soft grass eating an apple.
Fidella gave a look at Cassandra that said: "Aww, but I wanna keep playing."
Cass just chuckled at Fidella's reaction and shook her head.
"Oh, don't give me that look, do you want to get back to Corona so you can see Maximus or not?" Cassandra asked with a smirk.
Fidella immediately jamp out the lake and shook of the excess water before laying in the sun next to Cass.
"That's what I thought." Cassandra chuckled as she took another bite into her apple. Just as she finished her last bite, she heard a familiar hoot and stood up, looking in the direction of the sound.
"There you are Owl. I was starting to think you had gotten yourself lost or something." Owl just rolled his eyes and Cassandra chuckled. "I'm just kidding, do you have a letter from Raps for me?" She asked, Owl hooted again and dropped the letter into Cassandra's hands.
"Thanks pal." She said as she put her arm out for Owl to land on.
She sat back down and opened the letter.

Dear Cass,
How are you first of all?
Have you found your destiny yet? If you have what was is it?
And the most important question of all, do you know when your coming back? We really miss you.
Not much has been happening here lately, just a few celebrations and birthday parties, speaking of parties, Varian's 18th is coming up, I think he would really appreciate if you came for his birthday.
He's seriously missing you Cass, he hardly ever comes out of his lab anymore, I need to bring food down for him. I think you leaving has really hit the kid hard.
What's been going on on your side of life? I bet it's been really exciting. When you write about your adventures you always make it seem like it's an incredible experience, which I'm sure it is!
Everyone's missing you dearly, even Eugene is missing your insults, and I promise I'm not making this up, those words came straight from his mouth.
——————————————
Cassandra couldn't help but chuckle at this, she really missed insulting Eugene. But she would be able to do that soon enough. She continued reading the rest of the letter with a smile.
——————————————
Oh! I almost forgot, if you do come, I have some special people who I'd love for you to meet!
Anyway, that's all for now, hoping to see you soon...
Love your loving sister,
Raps

Cassandra finished reading the letter and smiled widely, they had no idea that she was coming home yet, she was keeping it a surprise for when she got there. She reached over and got a blank page and a quail to write with.
——————————————
Dear Raps,
To answer your first question, I'm doing great, how have you been lately?
And to answer your second question, I still haven't found my destiny, but it'll come soon, I can feel it.
And to answer your last 'most important question' as you put it. I'm not sure when I'll be back, probably not for a while, I'm still quite a long ways from Corona. But I promise to visit as soon as I can.
As for Varian, wow! 18 already! But it's such a shame about him not being very sociable, I truly feel bad for making him feel like that. I promise that as soon as I return I'll give him a hug. (I can't believe I just said that, you know I don't do touchy-feely)
And for Eugene, tell him I miss insulting him too, but as soon as I get back home, I'll insult him the moment I see him.
And who are these 'people' exactly that you want me to meet? This has made me very curious.
Tell everyone I really miss them too, tell Varian especially that I'm sorry, and that I'll be back as soon as I can! (Ewwwwweeeee, emotions....)
Love your loving sister,
Cass

Cassandra sealed the letter and lifted it up for Owl.
"Ready for another flight?" She asked as Owl, who flew into the air and gently took the letter from Cassandra's hand before flying into the direction of the Kingdom.
She looked at Fidella's coat and saw that it was near enough dry, reading and writing the letters must have taken about twenty minutes, which left them about ten minutes to pack everything back up and give Fidella a quick brush over after her being in the water getting her main and tail all knotted.
"Okay Fidella, time to get brushed." Cass said as she stood up and went over to her bag, taking Fidella's brush out.
Fidella loved getting brushed, so she got a little over-excited and started prancing around the place.
"Fidella, come on, you need to keep still." Cassandra chuckled as she tried to calm down her horse.
Fidella eventually stopped and let Cassandra brush her, to Cassandra's surprise, Fidella wasn't as knotted as she thought she would be, so she done a quick brush over and packed everything up and giving Fidella some apples.
"Okay girl, this is your last snack before we reach Corona." Cass said as Fidella ate her snack.
"Ready?" Cass asked her companion as she climbed onto the saddle. Fidella neighed in response as if to say "yep."
"Hyah!!" Cassandra said flicking the reins as Fidella rode to the direction of Corona.
(Hope you enjoyed! 😊)
