The jungle was as mystical as I remembered it to be. The low hanging vines, and the streams of water crisscrossing the path. Demios and Aurora flew above the vines, while Luxa and I walked. I hadn't told her anything about the call with Lizzie this morning I was hoping it was all a bad dream, not wanting it to be true, but I would have to come to terms with it eventually, just not now.

We walked in complete silence, there was only the noises of the jungle, the crunching of the vines beneath our feet and the occasional flutter of the bats wings above before they would fly off and meet us somewhere else.

We ate as we walked, not wanting to waste time, especially since our friends sanity, and life was on the line. We only stopped when the bats were exhausted and couldn't fly anymore. We stopped at a cave, where we warmed up food. Aurora and Deimos were piled up in the corner, asleep.

"Are you okay?" Luxa asked, "You've barely talked today, and you aren't eating anything,"

"Lizzie called me early this morning, they got a report that Ares was found dead," I saw the look in her face, she was devastated. I clasp her hand in mine, stroking it ever so gently.

It was quiet, again. I soaked in the silence, and drifted into the dark ocean of sleep.
