Chapter Twenty Two

The next month passed exactly the same, Lala made sure of it. She tried to do everything exactly the same as best as she could. After her first day Yui went back to normal but Lala could see something was still wrong. Even she asked Shougo about he just smiled and said she wasn't feeling very well. Another difference was Lala didn't tell the siblings about her powers.

Eventually came the time for Mirei, Sophie, Dorothy, Leona and Shion to approach her. Which she easier agreed to help them.

Then when she saved by Yume as before her training happened like before.

Before she knew the day had come where they saw Subaru and Yume and was curious about them. This time Lala didn't show anyone the past. Even if the past wasn't revealed at least this way nothing bad would happen to Yume.

That's what Lala tried to make happen, she tried to change it so Yume's mental break down never happened, that way she wasn't unstable and weak and easily captured by the enemy.

That's all she wanted.

"Th.... that was..... Subaru...." Koharu stuttered. Laura's eyes widened in shock.
"No way.... you don't mean that Subaru?" She'd heard of him before only once from Koharu.
"Who's Subaru?" Lala blinked.
"Yume's ex-boyfriend and the man who murdered her parents," Laura said in a low voice.
"I-I'm sure there was a reason behind it.... I'm sure there was because.... because they were both happiest when they were with each other, I haven't seen Yume smile as brightly as she did with him even before it happened," Koharu cried out. "I'm sure deep down Yume knows this too, she's just too emotional and feels to betrayed to realise,"
Lala just stayed quiet. Before she'd suggested they watch the past.... this time she just kept it to herself.
"Koharu......" Laura looked down.
"Sorry.... I just remembered I have something to do...." Lala said. She needed to get away since the guilt of knowing the truth was a big burden. She quickly left the two shocked girls behind and dashed round the corner.
"Lala....?" A familiar voice called out. "Why are you crying?" Shougo wondered. He was crouched down in front of the purple haired girl who was sitting on the ground hugging her knees.
"Eh?" She said in shock. Shougo was never around the first time... or maybe he was but they just missed each other. "Ah! Sorry, I'm fine capisce," she grinned as she quickly wiped away the tears. "I didn't even realise... I mean! I got something in my eye and my pet chicken died!" She lied.
"Huh...." Shougo just stared at her. Then he burst out laughing. "Ahahahahah! Pet chicken! Pffftttt! Has anyone ever told you, you're a terrible liar,"
"Hey! What if I really did have a pet chicken that just died!" She yelled. "Then you'd be the jerk that laughed at my dead chicken,"
"Sorry, sorry," he smiled and patted her head. "So what's actually wrong?" He asked again. "If you want I'm always available to talk,"
"Really! Well then I guess I'll have to be here so you can always talk to me," Lala told him with a smile. "Otherwise I'd feel bad one sidedly relying on you like that,"
"Hmmm... sure," Shougo's turned slightly red. "Well then now tell me what's happening,"
"Well, I can't really go into the details but... there's something that's really troubling my friends and I know the truth and I want to tell them," Lala started. "But well if I do something reallyyyyyyyyyy bad will happen, it's so bad that the world will end,"
"That bad, I see," Shougo nodded. "Well, I think they still kinda have to right to know.... although that's just my opinion... I mean you never know what will happen in the future-"
"I do know! I know what'll happen!" Lala suddenly yelled. "It's not about the secret, it's about what the secret will do to my friend, it'll destroy her, and then after tha-" Lala stopped speaking after she realised that she was about to tell Shougo about the future. "I mean..."
"That's really bad, maybe instead of just telling it to her, let her gradually figure it out for herself, I mean give her possible hints about it," Shougo suggested. "That way the shock won't be too big,"
"Woahh! You're right!" She stood up suddenly. "I have to go work on my master plan! See you later," Lala ran off waving to Shougo.
"Does she know.... about what happened back then....? How it was a secure secret that very few know about.... and she also mentioned something about knowing what will happen.... is it her powers?" Shougo wondered. "I guess I'll have to send a report on this to Father," he sighed.
