Tick Tock

Chapter Sixteen

Yume was hugging her knees to her chest in a dark alleyway. She didn't know where to go or what to do. She sighed as her stomach rumbled. Standing up slowly she looked at the amount of money she had on her. It was enough for a little bit of food. She trudged out of the alley and made her way to the nearest convenience store, which was across the road. Without bothering to look she just started walking. The sound of a car horn and people yelling snapped Yume out of her trance and she saw a truck just before it hit her.
'I'm too tired and hungry to use my ability,' she thought before she went flying backwards and it all went black.

(And she woke up in an unfamiliar bed and was younger! When she looked in the mirror she realised she was the villainess if her favourite otome game! She got isekaied everyone! Truck-San strikes again! JK!)

When Yume woke up she couldn't move her body. She slowly opened her eyes and found herself in a white room. Her hands,  feet, and even neck was being held down by metal straps. She still felt weak and was in a lot of pain, probably from the accident. When she tried to call out she couldn't.

She wasn't in any kind of hospital she knew.

"Number Zero, Nijino Yume, it's pleasure to meet you," an unfamiliar voice came from the corner of the room. "I apologies for the restraints but we don't want you escaping now do we, it was really lucky finding you while you were too weak to use your ability," Yume closed her eyes. She understood what was happening now. She was caught by Yumekawa, now she was a test subject. "Your ability really is fascinating, there are no limits, you can do whatever you want, you're practically a God,"
He walked towards Yume and she got a clear view of his face. He was holding some sort of needle and next thingy Yume knew he'd injected it into her neck. Her eyes widened and turned bloodshot and her body started to spasm.

She still couldn't scream though.

And soon everything went black again.

When Yume awoke again there were multiple people surrounding her. They were muttering to each other. Her body was in so much pain she started to thrash around. They just ignored her since she was restrained and didn't have the strength to break free.
"....Manaka Lala...." Yume's eyes widened at the familiar name. "....We're working on our plan.... be here soon...." from the pieces of broken conversation she heard Yume started struggle even more. She managed to tear a leg free and waved it around, kicking around at the scientists. She almost had her right hand free when the same man from earlier came over with another syringe. Once he injected her in the arm this time Yume felt sleepy and passed out.

"She really is a monster, even with her abilities weakened and restrained she can put up this much of a fight," he smirked.
