Percy Makes a Dangerous Promise

Thalia and Bianca were walking to the Big House to meet up with Zoe, Grover and Phoebe.

Even though Thalia and Bianca knew Phoebe wouldn't be there.

"What are we going to do if you do end up dying?" Thalia asks.

"The prophecy has already changed," Bianca states.

"Yeah, to fit Rachel's arrival," Thalia points out.

"But if I do die," Bianca starts. "I want you to make sure that Luke, Rachel, Silena, Charles and you don't die. If that has to be my last will. I will be."

"She planning not to come back," Nico whispers to Percy a few feet away.

"I'll keep her safe," Percy whispers as he walks over to Blackjack.

"Promise," Nico asks.

"Promise," Percy confirms.

Throughout the entire ride Thalia and Bianca thought of two things.

One, how much they wanted to live.

Two, how much they needed Percy to be following them.

They had stopped at a gas station once.

While there Thalia and Bianca has seen Blackjack, Percy's Pegasus on the roof.

Finally they reached the Smithsonian.

"This makes no sense," Thalia exclaims. "Why would she have come to a museum?"

Suddenly a dozen kittens started to meow at Bianca's feet.

"Where did those come from," Zoe asks.

"They were resurrected," Bianca gasps.

"What were they?" Thalia asks.

"Saber-tooth tigers," Bianca comments while grinning. "I'm keeping them."

Thalia laughs and then stops as Bianca pales.

Then Percy runs into Thalia.

Literally.

"The general," Bianca and Percy gasp.

"He brought them back," Bianca says, shaking her head. "The tigers."

"He was going for dragon teeth," Percy adds.

"That's what they told me," Bianca says as she has the dozen kittens into her large backpacks. "They're hunting Thalia, Percy and I. I would assume because we're all roughly the same age and children of the big three. We have to leave now."

"Good idea," Percy adds.

The group argues for a moment when suddenly Bianca and Thalia look a few feet away and spotted-

"The Nemean Lion," Thalia said. "Don't move."

The lion roared and parted Percy's hair.

"Separate on my mark," Zoe starts.

"No," Bianca mutters.

She starts toward the lion and holds out her hand.

In less than thirty seconds Thalia is laughing as Percy, Zoe and Grover look at Bianca in shock.

Bianca is playing with the kitten that was formerly the Nemean Lion.

"You're not keeping it," Zoe states.

"Yes, I am."

The kitten jumps into the bag.

Zoe and Bianca glare at each other for a moment and then Zoe breaks the stare.

"Fine," Zoe comments.

"I win," Bianca softly sings.

"We have to go now," Thalia said.

"All of us," Zoe said. "As much as I dislike it, he is apart of the quest."
