Waking up next to Spencer Reid, is like waking up next to a God and wondering how the fuck you got so lucky. Well for you anyway. He was ethereal to say the very least. It was absolutely criminal for him to look as good as he did, not only while sleeping, but in the early hours of sunrise.
You watched as his chest rose and fell in a light, deep pattern. His hair falling slightly over his perfect face and pink lips which were parted slightly as a light snore came from them. He was a belly sleeper, meaning that when he slept his hands were almost always under the pillow, which in turn, exposed the muscles in his back. Again, ethereal.
"You're doing it again." He giggled. His morning voice gravely and thick, his eyes not even open.
"I don't know what you're talking about." You innocently replied to the man half asleep next to you.
His eyes were open now, starring up at you through his unfairly long lashes. "Starring. I could feel it. Not that I mind as I can assure you, I've starred at you a few more times than I'd like to admit." He sat up, leaning against the headboard and pulling you into him. "What were you thinking about?" He kissed the top of your head as he waited for you to answer.
"How lucky I am. I don't know what I did to be deserving of the love you give, but I am forever grateful to have it." You squeezed him hard, as if holding him could make you guys one.
"There's an old Buddhist saying that, when you meet your soulmate, remember that the act to bring you together was 500 years in the making." He brushed your hair out of your face as you lifted your head to look up at him. His hazel eyes shining with all the stars in the galaxy.
"You're my soulmate. I had to be without you for 500 years. And now I have you and all I want is to give you all the love we both missed out on for those 500 years. That's what you did to deserve the love I give you. You waited 500 years."
You rolled your eyes, laughing as you placed a kiss on his beautiful lips. "Fucking cheese ball." Spencer laughed with you, his hand caressing your face in a loving gesture.
"It's true. I'm just grateful I don't have to spend 500 more years searching for you. I'll keep you forever. Even in the afterlife if there is one." You could've cried. He never got super sappy like this. He was more of a 'push it down until it bubbles over on accident or only give her a crumb' type of guy. But here he was, being sappy. It warmed your heart.
"I love you, Spencer Reid." You whispered.
He smiled, placing a soft kiss to your lips, "I love you more, princess. Now, I believe we have a safari planned."
You quickly hopped out of bed with an excited squeal. You stopped turning to face him as he unzipped your suitcase, "wait a damn minute."
Spencer turned to face you, an amused expression on his face as he probably figured out what you were about to say. "Yesterday's outfit was cute, and you do have some sense of style but who helped you pack my suitcase."
He packed you earth tones, beautiful outfits that still had tags on them. Clearly, he bought them for this occasion. He giggled, "I gave the girls my card, and a limit, and had them get you clothes. I'd say they did a great job, wouldn't you?" He raised a brow as he watched my jaw hit the floor.
"You're telling me, the girls knew about this trip, went shopping without me and helped you pack my suitcase? I was home! When did this happen?"
Spencer laughed as he turned back to digging in the suitcase. "Ah well, remember the day I went into work to get some paperwork?" You nodded, it was the one day he left you and it wasn't more than an hour tops. "That day. I gave them my card on one of the days JJ came over with the boys, told her what to do, and boom." He spread his arms over the suitcase.
"Spencer Reid, have I ever told you how much I love you." He squinted in mock thought before answering, "you have! But I never get tired of hearing it. Now, go start the shower while I pick your outfits. I'll be there in a second."
You skipped off to do as he asked, starting the shower and letting the water get hot. You heard Spencer's footsteps walk down the small hall, and into the bathroom where you had already started stripping to hop in. Spencer followed, getting into the warm stream of water.
...
To say Spencer Reid had style would be the understatement of the fucking millennia. This man knew how to dress, and more importantly, knew how to dress you. You thanked every star in the universe for that.
Once you finished your shower and dried off, you walked into the bedroom, examining the outfit he managed to put together. A black, square neck, top with ties for straps, mixed with nude color shorts and a nice black belt. He paired that with a nude hat, some black sunglasses you wore often, silver jewelry and black vans. You threw on the outfit, feeling satisfied knowing he picked it out for you.
Spencer decided to match you. He had on a pair of tan colored shorts, the good kind, and a black t-shirt with his black converse. He looked divine. "Close your mouth, silly girl." You honestly hadn't even realized you were starring with a gaping mouth but here we are. Needless to say, he looked delicious and he was all yours.
"Sorry. You just look so fucking good. Like fuck." You sighed as you looked him up and down. "Language. The animals like kind word." You rolled your eyes as you wrapped yourself around him, breathing in his scent. "I promise the animals don't care. Can we take a picture?"
Spencer loosened his grip, pulling back to look into your eyes. "We don't have time." You rolled your eyes so hard you thought the myth of them getting stuck would come true. "Not that kind, daddy. Cute ones. We match!" You pulled him over to the long mirror, pulling your phone out of your back pocket.
"Fine." Spencer took his usual place behind you, placing his hands around your middle and resting his head on your shoulder. "Smile baby." You cooed as you snapped picture after picture. Spencer was a great model as he kissed your temple, your cheek, moving to hold you, carrying you bridal style, and even pulling you close to plant a cute kiss on your lips. You giggled as you looked through them.
"Send me those." He asked and so you did. You were so glad this man upgraded to the 21st century and had a smart phone, setting the picture as his lockscreen. You smiled as you showed him. "Love it. Now, let's go. Can't keep the animals waiting, can we?"
