How the hell did he know I was with Jacob?

I texted him back,

What the actual fuck?

Like I said, they scare the living shit out of me.

Luke:
That doesn't sound like an answer to me.

Me:
Can you please just leave me alone? Seriously.

Luke:
No, I need to talk to you.

I didn't respond to that, because honestly he's the last person I want to talk to at this point.

I sat my phone on my dresser and walked down stairs to get food. I haven't eaten all day and I was starving. My mom wasn't home and hasn't been home since I've came in, which is unusual. I don't know where she is.

I walked back up to my room after eating, and walked over to my phone to call my mom. When I looked at my phone I had 10 missed calls and 17 text messages all from Luke. I read the last message he sent,

Luke:
I don't know why you're not answering, but I'm on my way.

Me:
What? Why??

Luke:
Have you not gotten any of my messages??

Me:
I haven't had my phone.

Luke:
Well I'm here, come outside.

I didn't think twice about it, I ran down stairs and ran outside to his car.

"What's going on?" I was panting from running so fast out to the car. I turned around to see his whole crew was behind us in a van. Something was about to go down, and I was going to be in the middle of it.

"They've done something really bad." He said putting his car in drive and speeding off.

"What are you talking about?" I raised my voice getting annoyed he was putting it off.

"Did you not look at your text? They're not all from me." He said looking at my phone. I unlocked it seeing a new number appear in the new messages under Luke's name. I read the messages,

Unknown:
We have your mom, you want to save her? Come to the old warehouse in the alley to get her. And don't you even dare think about telling Luke.

"How did you find out about this?!? And where is my mom???" I was freaking out, I can't believe I hadn't worried about her being gone that much. She was never out that much.

"We don't think they have your mom. They want you, not her. They lead her off to do something while they threatened you."

"How and why did you see that message?"

"Well, I have my ways and we all know you'd be the dumbass to actually fall for it."

"Well, I'm sorry that if someone text me that they have my mom I would take consideration in it and try and help her. I can't just let someone I care about die, I'm not you." His grip around the stirring wheel tightened and I could see his face turn about three shades.

"Listen, I don't know why you think taking these little lashes at me is funny. We save people we care about, if we didn't why the hell would I be going through the trouble to save you right now. Do you understand you would be dead if it wasn't for us?"

"Do you understand I wouldn't be in this situation if it wasn't for you guys?" He chuckled to himself and shook his head. I just ignored it and kept my gaze outside.

"You're impossible." He muttered to himself, and I just chose to ignore it.

He pulled into the driveway of an ugly building. Just looking at it will give you the goosebumps. It was old and wore down and just dirty.

"When we go in here, stay behind me. I mean it." He sounded very serious, so I didn't even try to argue. I just nodded.

Once we walked in the first thing I heard was guns being loaded. I flinched at the sound and grabbed the back of Luke's shirt pulling me as close as I could to him, trying my best to hide.

"So, you decided telling was the best option, huh?" An all too familiar voice spoke up.

"She didn't tell, dipshit. We found out." Luke sounded more than pissed.

"Well, your little act is going to cost you a lot," all of a sudden I felt an arm wrap around my waist and jerk me in their direction. I held onto Luke as hard as I could, he turned around and wrapped his arm around me. The guy was still pulling at me and Luke shot him in the foot.

"Do you guys seriously think we're dumbasses?" Calum spoke up from across the room. "You know we have a lot more experience than you guys, right? Like years..." He let out a small chuckle.

"You think you're so funny, don't you?" He laughed raising his gun and walking over to Calum. Luke slowly raised his gun and I felt five other guns being put in or direction. How the hell was this normal?

"Why the hell did you want her here Brad? And don't fucking lie, I'm not in the mood." Luke spoke up and Brad snapped his head away from Calum.

"What does it matter now? I told her to come alone, and she didn't. There will be serious consequences for that." He said the last part directing it to me.

"Don't threaten her, you won't do shit when we're around obviously." Luke chuckled.

"You know Hemmings, you think you're so damn funny... You want to know what I think is funny?" He paused before lowering his gun and shooting Luke right in the foot. Luke yelled in pain and fell to the ground to grab it. As soon as he did someone grabbed me from behind.

They tried carrying me out of the room, and I tried resisting but all I could do was scream and kick. All of a sudden I felt a sharp pain in my neck and everything went black. The last thing I heard was a gun shot.
