Willow's POV

After the Christmas celebration, and my family returning to the pack, I was more than ready to get back to a sense of normal. Unfortunately it was New Year's eve in the bar and it was packed, meaning that sense of normal was going to have to wait for a while. It was so busy, all of Jacey's siblings had to help in the bar tonight except Maria and Lucas since they were with their sons. Jax, Leroy, and Ethan worked as bouncers. Terroce, Alicia, and Shade are in the kitchen and stock room. Jade, Ebony, Addy, and I are serving. Jacey, Dancer, and Percilla were behind the bar making drinks.

It was honestly insane but the tips were heavy which made up for it. Unfortunately with us being so busy there really wasn't any chances for breaks since Red and Desiree had those who were staying in the Temple, earning their stay in another way, meaning we had no one to cover us. Due to the large amount of bodies in here and the fact the heat is on, it was a little warm in here, making me somewhat uncomfortable.

I moved around a group of men playing darts to a table of vulture Virs who were here to enjoy themselves. I passed out their drinks with a smile and made my way to another table. I went back to the bar to put in more orders. Jacey held out a bottle of water, "Drink it. You look hot." I gave him a grateful smile and downed half the bottle easily, feeling a little better. He didn't give me any more orders though until I finished the bottle. I tossed it into the trash once it was empty and went back out on the floor.

Once the count down began we all looked at the flat screen where the count down was being shown. Jacey pulled me to him. "I hope we're able to start this year and many more years together," he confessed to me. I smiled, "I hope to do the same."

As it neared the end of the count down he lowered his head down and as everyone is cheering for the New Year he kisses me in a way that makes me not want to stop.

After our kiss we went back to the grind until close. "I fucking hate working New Years," Ebony groaned as she sat in a chair. "You were the idiot who wore heels tonight," Jade said as Jacey handed me another water bottle. I was about to go sit outside. "What's wrong with you," Percilla asked as she watched me down the water bottle. "She worked the floor where there were a lot of people and we have the heat on. She's dying," Jade said, and I held a thumbs up to confirm her answer since I was too busy drinking the water to reply.

I finished off the water and went back to helping clean up. Once we were done, Jacey walked me to my room. "Since we have this coming Wednesday off, I want to take you out on a date," he said to me. I smiled, "Oh? And what would we be doing?" "Dinner," he said. "And if I feel like embarrassing myself, dancing." I perked up at the mention of dancing, "You won't embarrass yourself, I promise." He chuckled softly, "We'll see." He then kissed me good night and I went into my room to get some much needed rest.

The next day I woke up to arguing downstairs. I got dressed and went to see what was going on. There was a fight about to break out between a Vir bear and a Bestia lion. I quickly stepped between the two men who were face to face. "Knock it off," I snapped. "Temple rules state, the feud does not happen on Temple lands. If you can't follow those rules then you'll find yourself out on your asses."

"The lion fucking started it," the bear growled. "I don't care who started it. Rules are rules," I declared. "Don't fucking like it then leave." "What gives you that right to make that declaration," the bear growled. "So you're telling me that if I wasn't standing here, trying to save your furry asses from getting into trouble with the Temple owners, you'd say to hell with the rules and face their wrath? Red and Desiree aren't so nice to those who break the rules. It would be in your best interest to take my warning and walk away from each other," I said to the both of them.

They glared at each other then walked away. Jacey then came in with a cup of coffee for me. "You handled that rather nicely," he said. "They're lucky I didn't knock their heads together for waking me up," I muttered before taking a drink. He chuckled softly, "I'm sure that'd only cause you problems in the long run." I nodded in agreement, "Oh I know." I then offered him a soft smile, "So what brings you here first thing in the morning?" "I've got to go run a few errands for my mother and I wanted to see if you wanted to tag along," he said and I smiled brightly. "I'd love too." I went and got ready quickly before going outside. Brooke was there, being her slutty self, trying to get Jacey to look at her exposed cleavage but he kept his eyes towards the sky while telling her to leave him alone. Unfortunately, she had to stay longer due to snow storms near her home were keeping her and her father from flying back. Her father was watching the weather channels closely so they know when they can fly back.
