I pulled up to the Temple on the back of my Ducati. Three of the Solaris men were sitting on the porch of the Temple. It was built and designed to be like a biker bar. It went several stories up and there was a building behind it that was connected to it with a garage and such that I was guessing was the main living quarters. I knew the mountain behind the building was where the Solaris tribe lived. I had heard they hollowed out the entire mountain and created apartment like areas for each of the members. It sounded rather interesting, but I knew it would be a while before I entered that part.
Jacy gave the three men on the porch a sharp glare before coming over to my bike. "This is what you ride about on," he asked, eyeing the bike with a raised eyebrow. I nodded, "Yeah. It was cheaper to purchase than a car. Plus it's a lot of fun to ride." He nodded, "Your room is this way." We began to head inside but the three on the porch stopped us. "So rude Jacey. Introduce us," one of them said with a smirk. Jacey rolled his eyes, "These are a few of my brothers. Terroce, Mistigan, and Leroy." A few? I heard the Solaris tribe was rather large, but this makes me wonder just how many siblings does he have?
I nodded, "I'm Willow." "Such a pretty name for a beautiful woman. Too bad you're a wolf," Leroy said with a sigh. Jacey gave a warning growl. "It seems Jacey got not only the looks but the manners too, I'm one lucky woman," I said with a smirk and Leroy glared at me while the two others seemed a little speechless. Jacey smirked before leading me inside. Inside were two women wiping down tables. "These are two of my sisters, Adeline and Jade," Jacey introduced. Adeline gave me a genuine smile, "You can call me Addy. Ignore the idiots outside it's rare any of the brothers get along unless someone from outside of the family is challenging us, then they band together." I nodded, "I'm Willow."
Jade looked me over flirtatiously, "Too bad you're Jacey's mate. You truly are beautiful. If it doesn't work out between you two, mind putting me in your options?" I smirked and gave her a wink, "Certainly." Jacey growled softly, "Don't encourage her." Jade waved a hand, "Oh calm down you over grown geko. There is no harm in some playful flirting."
He lead me to the stairs and a woman and man came out of a room. The crests that hung around their necks told me they were the owners of the Temple. The woman did not seem too happy with me being here. "Mother, father, this is my mate Willow," Jacey introduced. His father held out his hand, "I'm Red. You will have to excuse my mate Desiree, she is rather upset you aren't of dragon lineage. I welcome you, no matter what you are. You are a gift from the fates and that is all that matters." I nodded to him, "Thank you." I looked to Desiree, "It was nice meeting you." She didn't say anything and Jacey lead me away from them.
He took me to a room in the connected house that was near the back of the house, "Excuse my mother. She didn't have the best of reactions when I informed them of you." I shrugged, "I truly don't care if your mother likes me. I am here to have a courtship with you, not your mother." He nodded, "I understand, but if we do mate, you have to understand that you will be moving here. I am oath bound to protect this Temple. And I truly don't want to have to pull you two apart because of fights." "There won't be any fights," I assured him. "If she is civil, then I will be too. If she wants to make a big deal out of it, then I will go about my business. Speaking of business, how will I be earning my keep?"
"You will be working as a server in the bar, starting tonight. It's ladies night, so it will be almost club like given the crowd it usually attracts," he explained to me. "It will also be filled with men on the prowl." I nodded, "And what do I have to wear?" "Whatever you have is fine," he told me. "You'll be given what you need when you come down for your shift. I will be behind the bar, and occasionally at the door throughout the night. You have two hours."
I nodded, "Thanks." He then went to leave the room but stopped. He then turned to face me, "I don't follow my family's beliefs about keeping our bloodline pure. I welcome you no matter what." I gave him a soft smile, "Thanks Jacey. I don't care what you are either."
He then left my room and I went about unpacking and calling my mother to let her know how it went.
Jacey's POV
I watched Willow make her way through the bar with her tray of drinks with a sway in her hips, the occasional dance with the music. Many of the Bestia patrons didn't really care for her as their server, but all other patrons were delighted by her. She had a smile and playful flirting. She took the drinks back to the table of vampires who were looking over the bar for their next meal. They couldn't kill whoever they chose and the person they picked had to give entire consent. I watched as she laughed at something a female vampire said before they gave her a piece of paper. It most likely had a number written on it.
I hadn't realized how tight I had been gripping the glass in my hand that I was supposed to be washing until it shattered. "You okay," Dancer, asked me from the register. "Fine," I grumbled, not taking my eyes from her. I watched as she returned the paper with a slight shake of her head, saying something that had the female vampire looking over to me. The female gave me a smirk before turning her eyes back to Willow. She nodded and tucked the paper into her clutch. Willow then continued to go about the floor.
At the bar she gave me a flirty smirk, "Three lights handsome." I handed her three light beers and she took them. She gave me a wink before she walked away, a seductive sway in her hips. She had my cock straining in my pants.
Dancer chuckled softly, "She hasn't even been here for a full twenty four hours and she's already getting to you." I rolled my eyes and went back to serving drinks. After the bar closed to the non-supernatural crowd she brought her tray over. Jade was sitting on the bar, enjoying a beer. "How much did you make in cash tips? You were really working the floor beautifully tonight. You made it hard for Jacey to concentrate tonight."
Willow laughed softly, "I wasn't keeping count." "Whatever cash tips you make, you get to keep," I told her as I wiped down the bar. "The card tips are tip shared with everyone else." She nodded, "Got it." She helped clean up the bar and then three Bestia wolves came in, bags in hand. Jade approached them, "What can I help you with?" "We're looking to stop here for the night," the first said. "There's a killer storm on the way." "Alright, let's get you to your rooms," Jade said with a gesture of her head towards the stairs. One of the Bestia wolves looked Willow over and sneered at her. "Fucking Vir," he spat. She simply rolled her eyes, then looked at me, "I'm going to bed. Good night handsome." I nodded, "Good night Willow." Jade stalled them to let Willow go up the stairs first to avoid any confrontation with the Bestias.
I was in my cave when the storm hit. I was about to shift and stretch out in my dragon form when there was a knock on my door. I went over and answered it. It was Jade. "You and I need to have a talk," she said to me. I raised an eyebrow, "About what?" "About the gorgeous goddess who is openly hitting on you, and you failing to return it," she told me. "I get you're broken when it comes to women, but this is your mate. You need to do something to show that you're making an attempt. Hell, Willow got Vanessa Creed's number, and turned it down. Vanessa is picky about the women and men she even looks at. I heard Willow when she turned Vanessa down. She said she was mates with the sexy warrior dragon at the bar, and was unavailable. If I had been in Willow's position, then I would have tucked Vanessa's number away as a just in case shit didn't work out. Willow is making the biggest attempt, and I am on team JAIL." I raised an eyebrow at her, "Team Jail?" "It's a fan girl thing," Jade said with a wave of her hand. "You take parts of the two people's name you want to see in a relationship and work out, and you put those two parts together. You're first two letters are JA, and I didn't like JAWI, so I took the second and third letter of her name and made JAIL."
I didn't understand a single thing my sister was saying, but it sounded like she was being supportive, but I couldn't tell. "You are speaking a foreign language to me," I told her. She rolled her eyes with a sigh, "Whatever. The point is, your bombshell mate is trying and you couldn't even give her a smirk." "I broke a glass out of jealousy when Vanessa handed Willow her number," I told her. "Does that count as something?" "It does," Jade said with a nod. "Just shows she affects you, but you need to try and affect her too." I sighed, "I'm only one day into the courtship, give me some space to figure shit out." She crossed her arms, "You shouldn't have to figure shit out. You're a Bestia. Follow your damn instincts. Maybe that's what your problem is, you were trying to think. I've told you many times dear brother, you need a brain in order to think, which you don't have." I growled, "I'm going to throw you off a cliff." She rolled her eyes, "Next time Willow gives you a flirty look, smirk or something to let her know that you like it or something." "I will follow my instincts, now leave," I said to her before shutting the door in her face. I went over to the large space in my cave and shifted before laying down to get some sleep.
