Katniss POV

Arghhh.... Does that alarm clock always bother my sleeptime!! I'm so tired. I remember that today, I have to meet Peeta for dinner tonight. I'm so excited to see him but scared of what to say to him. I decided to text him:

Me: Heyyy Good Morning

Peeta: Heyyyyy

Me: Did I wake you up?

Peeta: No, why?

Me: Just asking

Peeta: Okay, see you at dinner

Me: Yeah

I mean that is how our texts usually are, just simple and basic. But I like that because he doesn't force me to text like yo text me.... like seriously, he is so sweet and loving that I couldn't asking for a better neighbor. I'm so excited for Prim to meet him. Speaking of Prim. I should talk to her about Peeta. I mean, she doesn't know him and I think I should talk to her about it. She knows love more than I do. That is 100% true. I went and brushed my teeth, and went downstairs to meet Prim. "Hey, Good Morning Katniss," Prim greets me. "Hey," I answer her back. "Where's mom? I mean, I haven't seen her in days. I'm worried." "Yeah, I know," Prim agrees. "I wish she could teach me more things about the medicines and people's health but she's not here anymore. But hey, people change so maybe she'd shut us out for a reason. Because of us." "It's not our fault." I tell her. "It's hers for leaving us and we had nothing to do with it." We eat the rest of our breakfast that Prim made in silence. I mean, I can't cook. At all. I don't even know how to make the most simple things like eggs, toast, and whatever else that's simple. I know, I screw every recipe. My phone starts to ring about voicemail. Prim gives me a questioning look and hope it isn't Gale. She was never really fond of Gale and Gale wasn't either. They hate each other for some reason but I don't know why. I look at my Galaxy Note 4 and see that Peeta left me a voicemail. It said:

Hey Katniss, It's me, Peeta. I had a great time yesterday and I want to thank you again. Anyway, I can't wait to come over for dinner and meet Prim. See ya tonight.

"What!?!?!?" Prim yelled. "You met a boy and you didn't tell me? God Katniss, I thought you were my sister." "I am," I told her. "You will get to meet him and he's going to cook for us so I'm free." "Thank God it's not you," Prim adds on. "You stink at this." "Excuse me?" I ask her. "Sorry but no offense, you're the worst help at this house. I mean, you're the best sister but the worst cook," Prim told me. "Thanks," I say in a sarcastic tone. "So," Prim starts, changing the subject. "What time does the dinner start?" "Six," I told her.

Before and At the Dinner:

"Prim, hurry up!" I yell at her. "I need to shower before Peeta gets here!" "Oh, so you want to impress him?" She asks me. "No!!!" I told her. "I just need a bath and you're taking a year in there!" "Fine!" She screams. "I'm out." She opens the door and I step in. I turn on the water and let the warm water rush through me as I wash my hair and body. I wash it extra good because I want him to not run away from me just because of my smell. 15 minutes later, I hop out of the shower and got dressed to a nice white dress with black leggings and white flats. I keep my hair loose into the waves but I decided to straighten my hair. The best thing is that I know how to curl or straighten my hair to look nice. Ding Dong! I am so nervous to see him again, I thought. Why am I nervous? Prim opens the door and turns out Peeta showed up with a bunch of food, cake, and other things. "Hi!" Prim says in a peppy tone. "I'm Katniss' sister Prim. She told me so much about you." "Um.. hi," he answers nervously. "I'm Peeta as you know and it's good to meet you. I think you are adorable just like your sister." "Awww," she tells him. "Katniss, isn't this boy hot?" She calls me while winking at Peeta. "Prim!!" I yell at her. I decided I'm ready. So, I walk down the stairs, ready to greet him. "Hi," I tell him. Wow, this boy has gone from cute to sexy. Woah, what? Why would I think that? "Hey," he says back... nervously. "You look...absolutley stunning." I blush nervously. "Ummm.. thank you." I reply still blushing. He sets down the food and god damn it looks so good. It's like food from heaven like seriously. "My god," Prim starts. "This looks so good. Are you a chef?" "No," Peeta says, chuckling nervously. Why is he nervous? I mean, I'm the one who should be nervous. I took so much time to get ready thanks to Prim. At dinner, I got to talk to Peeta more than I thought. We laughed and talked, but I ate so much food. It was so good. "So," Peeta starts. "Do you want to have this dance with me?" "Oh of course you may," I say in a princess tone. He grabs my waistwhile I grab his neck and started dancing into the night. He kissed my neck and my cheek which i can't even have words to describe to say how good that felt. I felt electricity flowing through me. We continue dancing into the wonderful and he said, "I had a great time with you." "Yeah," I reply. "We must've been dancing for hours. "I know," he agrees. "You walked with me and help me understand where I'm going through our time together. And I love that from you. You make me smile with joy through my worst moments. You give me strenghth to carry with me." I started crying believe it or not and I'm so touched to even hear him say that. "Thank you," I tell him. "You're the best." "I know," he says. "I know."
