Katniss POV
9:30 am

"Oww...."  I mummur in pain. That pain was like so painful that my head will start to spin. "I'm so sorry," the boy said. "Are you hurt? I am such a clutz." "No, duh sherlock," I told him in a harsh tone. "But I really apreciate you trying to help me. No boy has ever done something that thoughtful, not even Gale and you think I'm okay?! Well you know what leave me alone," I added. But he just stands there not listening to me. Arghh I swear this boy is going to kill the crap out of me. Instead of laughing like boys usually do, he stands with a hurt look on his face. I can tell he's hurt. "Oh....umm hi," I tell him. "Ummm sorry... it's just that usually, boys tease me and a boy like you never helped me so I'm new at this." "Well, as much as I wanted to get to know you, my name is Peeta," the boy said. "And you sweetheart are one very stubborn girl. But I like that because at of all girls you are the most different. I just wanted to get to know my new neighbor after my run to the park and..-"Woah," I interupted. "I was going to go there, until, thanks to you, I'm stuck talking to you for the past hour and I'll never have a morning excersise." "So is that a bad thing?" He asks. "I mean, I could just go and leave you alone for the rest of your life." "No! No! No! I want you here, with me to hang out." "Ummm, okay?" He says questioning my answer. "Umm..." he starts nervously. "Do you want to run together at the park? I mean, we can get to know each other and whatever else we want to do together." "Sure," I reply with a smile flashing across my face. "But why are you so nervous?" I ask him. "I don't know,"  he answers me. "I just don't want you to say no because I really want to hang out with a girl that gives me peace." "Well, you didn't have to worry," I assure him. "I would've said yes."

Katniss POV

"Thank you," I told Peeta while walking through the park, our hands almost touching for some reason. For the past hours running with him, and laughing, getting to know each other and racing, hanging out with him makes me happy that fast but I don't know why. For another reason, I also feel like I have a better connection to him than I ever had with Gale. "You're welcome," he answers back with a smile interupting my thinking of our bond together. "So, you want to race again princess?" He asks me. "Oh it's on, you big doof," I say. "I'm not going to lose to you.... again." "Haha," Peeta says. "I'll win you since I'm faster, better, smarter, cuter, and more sweet with a charm. "Yeah right," I ruin his bragging. Let's go! On Your Mark! Get Set! Go!!" Me and Peeta race around the track but it's two laps this time. On the first lap, I was winning but Peeta doesn't go down without a fight. It looks like he was saving his energy because he rushes through me and he is now half the track away from me. So, it turns out that he won so I'm the sore loser. "I clearly won," he tells me. "Yeah, Yeah, let's go get icecream. It's 12:00 now," I told him. "Okay," he answers. We walked through the park together after buying our icecream. Peeta got a single scoop of Vanilla on a cone, and I got a double scoop of Mint Chocolate Chip on my cone. "So," he starts the conversation. "Where do you want to go next?" "You choose," I reply. "You're the new guy," I told him. "Fine," he tells me. "But where do you reccomend?" "Umm.... The Arcade." I tell him. "It's so fun that there a lot of video games you can actually try. "Okay," he says, "As long as I am with you, I'm going to have a great time." "Sure you will," I told him. After that, I took him to the arcade and we enjoyed the games, even though I usually won because he was new and I had experience for many years now. He walked me home and turns out I've been spending time with him for hours because it is now 5:00. "Well, I had a great time today Katniss," he told me. "I hope we can do this again sometime." "That'll be awesome," I told him. "Anyway, so how about dinner tommorow night? You can meet my sister and talk to her about me." "Okay," he says while chuckling. "That'll be wonderful. See you tommorow." "Yeah," I answered. "You're going to cook right? Cause I can't cook you know." "Absolutley," he responds. "I'll take care of everything and I'll just bring it to your house." "Okay," I sigh in relief. "See you tommorow." "Yeah, tommorow," he replies back.
