The car sped away from the warehouse fast. Amy didn't know why they were baited. She just hoped that whoever took them weren't looking for them specifically. She knew that if it was for leverage they would be much safer than they would be if someone was actually targeting one or both of them.

Since Amy didn't have her phone and she wasn't wearing her watch she grabbed Jake's wrist as soon as the car stopped. Thank god he has a digital watch. I wouldn't have been able to see if it had been my watch. She would keep that in mind for the next time she went to make fun of Jake for not having a 'grown-up watch'.

It was 8:45 now so they would have had to have only even driving for about 35 - 40 minutes. Maybe we're close enough and they'll find us soon.

Amy took a deep breath as the car trunk opened. Just as she had expected, the other two men had their guns drawn and aimed. Jake was still unconscious which worried her. Amy had to find a way to help Jake soon.

"So I suppose you wonder what you are doing here," the smallest man said, stepping forward and nodding to the smaller of the other two men. Right away his henchman reached in and pulled Jake out. The biggest man pulled Amy out but she noticed he was trying to be gentle with her, which confused her.

Finally she found her voice, "Yes. It would also be nice to know who the hell you all are."

Laughing, the small man nodded and began speaking. "The man with Peralta; you can call him Slash. The lovely gentleman holding you is Parker. As for my name; Freddy."

Freddy? Amy thought, Where have I heard that name recently?

"Trying to place me?" he asked smugly. "Allow me to help. Ever heard of the Ianucci family?"

Her eyes widened. Oh no. Jake. Now she was scared. Not for herself, but for her partner. Jake did amazing on his undercover assignment. Freddy was the only member to get away. Pissing off someone in the mafia:not a great idea...especially one that favours extortion.

"That's what I thought," he replied, almost amused. "You see, I wanted revenge on Jake here, but I thought an audience would be better so they can know what it is like to lose everything. As his partner you care a great deal for him?"

"You son of a-"

"Maybe more than you care to admit?" he asked knowingly. "Anyway Jake here won't be much fun until he wakes up so I will leave you be for a while."

Nodding to the men they shoved Jake and Amy in a small room and handcuffed them to pipes, giving them each one free hand. Again the larger man, Parker was much more gentle with her than Slash had been with Jake.

"Jake!" she hissed trying to wake him up when she heard a groan.

"Whu-uh? Amy? What's going on? Where are we? Why does my head feel like someone took a bat to it?" Jake asked. Amy could hear the pain in his voice.

"Yes it's Amy. We were abducted. I don't know where we are. And probably because someone actually did take a bat to your head," Amy said.

"Abducted? By who? And - oh my god! Did they hurt you? Are you alright? Amy?"

"Shh Jake. Try to calm down. No they were actually really gentle with me. What do you remember? Then I will fill you in." She spoke in a soothing voice which surprisingly calmed him down a fair bit.

"Okay. We were on the stakeout. We heard a scream. We radioed for backup. We ran for the building. There was another scream so I kicked down the door. There was no one there but there was a recorder playing. I realised it was a trap and said we had to leave. Then pain and lights out. Then waking up in a room, tied up with my partner."

Amy nodded and told him the rest. She didn't miss the terrified look in his eyes when she told him it was Maliardi.

"How long was I out, do you know?" He asked feeling his head. His eyes widened when he realized he was bleeding, but he didn't say anything.

"Um yeah, it was almost an hour," she said looking for something to stop the bleeding. She couldn't find anything so she pulled out a hidden swiss army life and started cutting away a piece of her pants. She leaned over with it after hiding the knife again, and carefully pressed it into his head wound.

"Sorry," she choked out as he winced in pain. Finally he stopped bleeding, but he was obviously still in pain so she pulled his head down into her lap and started rubbing his head gently. "I'm sorry," she said again "I wish I could do something more to help."

"It's not your fault. You aren't the one who pissed off a high ranking mafia guy," he said. "I'm just sorry that you had give involved."

Amy closed her eyes and squeezed Jake's hand. All they could do was wait. But then a thought hit Amy.

"Hey Jake, do you still have your phone?"
