It's been about 8 months since Shield collapsed. Since Nat and I have gone on our search for answers. Turns out My mother was not only a hydra agent but ranked as one of the highest members. She was hired to kill my Father. When it finally came to the moment, she couldn't do it. They ended up falling in love. That's when they went into hiding and had me. Peggy Carter protected their secret for as long as she could. But Hydra still has its ways of finding what they need. So did they die in a car crash? yes. But by one man. The Winter Soldier himself. I went through a whole grieving phase. I am not feeling angry because he killed them. He doesn't even know who he is. The main puzzle piece is that he is Steve's best friend. I have to respect that. Killing James Barnes won't bring my parents back. So, Nat and I took down anyone that tried to come after us or was hiding secrets most of them were hydra agents trying to get me on their side. However, I won't be persuaded. During this time, we also went on our search for Nat's parents. Unfortunately, our journey ended when we found two graves by a chain like a wired fence. I helped her pull some weeds and left some flowers. It was just a reminder that in these times we are never alone.
Today, we returned to New York to the new and improved Avengers tower that was originally Tony's playboy funhouse. This time I will be joining as a member. Have to say that it is a mixed feeling. There has been one person who has been on my mind, that is Steve Rogers. Whether I want to deny it or not. We have chemistry and there is going to be some tension. We both knew at the time, we needed to find answers. We would have just fallen out in all the wrong ways if I stayed with him. Now, maybe there is a chance but it's been a while, I wouldn't be surprised if he found someone or doesn't feel the same anymore. I still don't know if I would want to even venture down that road since we have business to take care of. Hydra. Besides, I am not really the same person I was 8 months ago.
"Can't believe we're back here again" Nat clicks the elevator to take us up to the Avenger floor of the tower.
"Yeah, last time we were here, an alien army invited themself". I fold my arms recalling moments of getting people out of the wreckage.
"Are you sure you're going to be okay?" Nat asks me.
"Yeah, it'll be nice to see everyone. The only people I haven't met are the doctor and Thor" She gives me that one look of 'that's not what I meant'.
"Nat, it's been how many months. It's best if I don't read into what he will think when we see each other. That's not why we are here." I sigh for a moment.
"Ready to save the world again?" Nat nudges me.
"Always".

"And if it isn't our favorite Tin Can" I smirk for a moment shaking hands with Tony.
