Jack comes home and as happy as I am to see him, I'm just physically exhausted. He sits down and I curl up into his side and fall back to sleep. All of the crying I did in the past few days physically drained me.
I'm sleeping peacefully, drifting between sleep and dreamland when I hear something.
"Well you could've stopped her ya know. You didn't need to stick your dick inside her. You guys probably didn't use protection either did you?"
There's a slight pause. "No, we did."
"Really? Because you took a moment to respond."
I can hear everything they are saying. I'm asleep but not fully asleep. I'm I'm that state between being awake and being asleep.
"I was thinking. Jesus. Why are you even lecturing me anyways? I'm sorry I fucked up, that doesn't change my love for Harper. I will still continue to love her unconditionally. She's the greatest thing that's ever happened in my life and she's what keeps me going everyday."
"Then why'd you cheat?"
So he did cheat on me with Mallory. What the fuck? That hurts, obviously he doesn't care enough about me.
Jack doesn't say anything and I take that as my opportunity to "wake" up. I make a noise and open my eyes, stretching and yawning.
"Hey babe." Jack says.
"Hi Jack." I say, pretending I don't know anything.
"Is my baby girl tired?" He asks, kissing my forehead.
"Yeah. I'm exhausted."
"Why?" He asks curiously.
"I don't know, probably because I spent all night talking to Sammy." I turn and smile at him and he returns the smile, smiling that perfect bright white smile with the slight dimple that I'm falling in love with. 🙈
"Oh. Okay." Jack says. "So, baby what do you wanna do today?"
"Sleep." I reply.
He laughs. "Oh... Okay. I just thought maybe we could hangout, since we haven't seen each other in a couple weeks."
"Sure."
"What do you wanna do?"
"I don't know."
"Wanna go see a movie?"
"Sure."
"Okay." He replies. "What movie?"
"I don't care, you can pick."
"Okay. Sammy wanna join us?"
"Nah. It's cool. You guys haven't seen each other in weeks, Harper and I have seen each other every day. I'll just head home." He gets up off the couch.
I stand up to hug him goodbye. "Thanks for everything these past few weeks."
"No problem baby doll." He replies and kisses my forehead. "I'll talk to you later. Text me if you need anything else." He let's go of my body.
"Will do." I smile at him.
"Bye." He replies then waves at Jack. "Bye bro."
"Bye Sam."
Then Sammy leaves, and I sit back down on the couch.
"What was that about?" Jack asks.
"What was what about?" I ask.
"Sam calling you baby doll?" He almost sounds jealous.
"Sammy always calls me baby or baby doll?" I reply questioningly.
"I know but it just sounded differently."
"No, he was saying it the way he usually does. Why do you care what Sammy calls me anyway?" I snap.
He holds his hands up in surrender. "I was just wondering, Jesus. No need to snap."
"You sounded jealous that's why I snapped." What right does he have to be jealous of me and Sammy? HE cheated. I mean..... I kind of cheated too but that's besides the point. He cheated first and pushed me towards Sammy. He's the one who left me, for like a month, with his best friend.
"I'm not jealous." He replies back, sounding annoyed.
"Whatever."
God, I can't believe him. Why won't he just accept the fact that Sammy is JUST my best friend? Oh right.... Me and him kissed... And made out. And.... That's not important. What's important is that I need to make my decision of what to do with everything.
Jack must never know that I'm pregnant. Ever. So what am I gonna do?
