"I feel so bad lying to him." I say looking down at the floor sad and embarrassed after Sammy gets off the phone with Jack.
Sammy puts a few fingers under my chin and pushes my face up to look at him, my eyes meeting his beautiful brown ones. "Hey babe, you don't need to feel bad. He's the one who cheated on you and continues to run away to cheat on you."
He's got a good point. "Very true." I reply with a slight little smile.
"Yeah." He grins at me. "Now, turn your frown upside down, baby doll and cheer up. I miss happy Harper."
"Happy Harper went away when Jack cheated and I got pregnant. Like seriously, could anything suckier happen to me?"
"You could end up going into labor early or have complications or something and be in lots of pain and have to choose between saving yourself or that baby inside you."
"I'd rather die than be like this now- pregnant and depressed."
"Harper! Don't you fucking say that god dammit. We've had this conversation before! Stop saying you want to die and that no one cares I fucking care Harper, I fucking care."
"I know you care, which is why I would stay. You're the one reason I would stay." I smile at him.
"Babe, I fucking love you."
I giggle. "I love you too, Sammy."
He grins. "Good that's what I wanted to hear."
I smile and peck his lips once. "Okay." I giggle, trying to get up off the couch to go get some water but am pulled back by Sammy. He pulls me onto his lap and I just sit there on his lap, straddling/ facing him.
"You're so beautiful." He whispers, running his thumb along my slightly parted bottom lip and his other four fingers kind of just hangout there awkwardly near my chin.
Him touching me in this way makes me feel different inside- new kinds of nerves and emotions making themselves known through his slight touch. I mean he's touched me differently than this before, but that time was different. That time, everything happened suddenly.... Quickly and it was all unstoppable.
It might be called a mistake by some people but honestly it didn't feel that way to me.
The way that Sammy touches me ignites a new fire inside my body one that didn't come alive when Jack touched me or held me or did anything with me. With Sammy, nothing is complicated and everything is perfect.
"I hate that Jack is treating you like this. You don't deserve it." Sammy whispers, still running his thumb along my lip. He then leans forward and pauses, his lips centimeters away from mine. "You deserve to be truly loved."
"I know." I breath and lean forward and press my lips to his.
Our lips dance against each other's and a battle begins between our tongues as soon as his enters my mouth. Kissing Sammy is nothing like kissing Jack, nothing at all. Kissing Jack was like.... Eating Ramen noodles every night compared to eating like a Queen every night. Okay.... Bad comparison maybe but nonetheless the way Sammy does anything to me or with me is different than the way Jack made me feel.
With Sammy it's less complicated, I don't have to keep guessing and I don't have to keep worrying about when he'll run off to be with his ex again. I know that Sammy is loyal and that he'll never leave me and that he always wants me to be happy.
After mine and Sammy's slight makeout session on the couch, we pull back and I smile at him.
"Sammy, thanks for completing me and keeping me going and making me feel more alive."
He grins. "My pleasure, baby doll. I'm always going to be here for you. You mean the absolute world to me."
"I love you." I giggle.
"I love you too." He replies then brushes his lips against mine once more.

A/N while I was creating the cool POV thing at the top of the chapter I realized the song Distance was playing lol. Idek I thought it was cool and ironic (: haha. Anyways... Shoutout to omqdallas_ for being the only one (as of when I looked 3 hours prior to me typing this authors note up) to comment on the last chapter. (: thanks you're awesome and I hope you enjoyed the update. (;

Sooooo guys I have a little surprise for all of you. 😋 but it won't be revealed until Ch22 or 23. 🙈 I promise you'll like it though.
