Leafy's POV
What was Firey doing? Was he going to..kiss me?
My breathing quickened as he ran his fingers through my hair, and I stared into his eyes.
His hand traced to my face, and pulled it towards his.
Suddenly the doorbell rang, and i dashed over to the door, face completely red.
"H-hey guys!" I greeted.
"Hey Leafy! Everyone else said.
I let them all in, and Firey walked over to greet them too.
"I see Firey's already here. You guys were having some alone time before we showed up?" Coiny asked, smiling.
"We're neighbors Coiny, of course he would be here first." I replied, rolling my eyes.
"Hey...is something burning? Or is that just me?" Pin asked.
I gasped. "The popcorn! I completely forgot!"
I ran into the kitchen, with Pin behind me.
I pulled the bag out, and it was fine.
"Pin? Why'd you say that? Nothings burning?" I opened the oven and everything was fine.
"Because leafy. What happened before we got here?" She asked, smiling.
"W-with Firey? Nothing!" I whispered.
"Leafy. I know something between you two happened. It's all in your face. Come on! Tell me!"
I groaned.
"Fine! I think he was going to..kiss me."
"What?? You're for real?"
I nodded.
"Didn't think he had it in him..Leafy. He's definitely into you. Why don't you ask him out?"
"I...I don't know to be quite honest with you. I think I should just wait."
"If you wait, he'll lose interest in you. But do it when you're ready. I won't be one to rush you."

We ate, and were now watching the movie.
I sat on one end of the couch with Firey, Needle and Teardrop were sitting on the other end, and Pin and Coiny were on the floor.
The lights were off, and we were all having small talk as we watched the movie.
Firey was on his phone, texting somebody.
I glanced over, and looked at it.
I couldn't really see who it was, and just shook it off.
I felt him put his arm around me, and pull me down.
My head rested on his shoulder, and he rubbed his hand on my shoulder.

Firey's POV
I wanted to pick Leafy up so bad and just hug her, and love her. But there was 2 problems to that.
1. Everyone else is here. And I want to do it when we're alone.
2. She'll probably get weirded out and never talk to me.
I ran my fingers through her hair, and put my phone down.
I looked at her, and she had her eyes closed, and was sleeping.
"Hey you know, we should do this more often." Coiny said, turning to me.
"S-shush. You'll wake her." I said, smiling.
Coiny grinned, and turned back around.
We continued the movie along, and while everyone was paying attention to it, I looked at leafy.
She still slept quietly, and I had a thought.
I leaned carefully, and gave her a small kiss on the forehead. A peck, if you will.
I felt butterflies again, and hugged her softly without waking her.
"I know there's a chance you feel the same. I know there is." I thought to myself.
I let go, and looked away from her.
I jumped as I was being stared at by Coiny, who was smirking.
"Wow you DO have it in you." He whispered to me.
"Shut it."
"Just tell her dude. What's the worst that could happen? She likes you back, you can just tell."
"Im not going to."
"So you're just gonna kiss her while she's asleep for your whole life?"
I sighed.
"Whatever. I'll tell her soon."
The rest of the night, after Leafy woke up, we all just talked, played a couple games, and basically just hung out.
"So are you guys ready for Tomorrow?" Leafy said excitingly.
"What's tomorrow?" I asked.
"T-the competition??? Did you forget?"
I sat there, thinking.
Coiny laughed. "He forgot. Typical Firey."
"We should get some sleep now, it's gonna be an early morning." Suggested Pin.
"It's only 8pm though?" I replied.
"We have to be there at 2am. And on the bus at 3." Needle groaned.
"Well, ok. Let's call it a night guys." Leafy smiled, and made her way upstairs.
"Leafy? Where you going?" Needle called.
"I'm getting you guys some blankets!" She shouted back.
"I'm gonna go help her." I said, and made my way up.
There she stood, in her closet getting blankets out.
(Blanket doesn't sound like a real word anymore)
I walked over, and tapped her shoulder. She jumped, and turned to me.

Leafy's POV
"Gah! Firey? What are you doing?"
"Sorry Leafy. I wanted to help you."
I smiled, and gave Firey a couple blankets and pillows.
He carried them all downstairs, and I grabbed some extra pillows, as well as my blanket and pillow.
I went down the stairs, and everyone was setting up.
"So I'll sleep on the Floor with Pin, where are you and Teardrop sleeping?" Coiny asked Needle.
"Hmm..We'll sleep on the couch. Is that ok Leafy?"
"That's fine! I'll sleep on the floor then."
"I guess I will too" Firey replied, sitting on the floor.
I went to turn off the lights, and we all laid down, getting ready for the long day ahead of us.
——
"L-leafy..?"
I rubbed my eyes, and rose up.
"H-hm? Who's that..?"
A hand was put on my mouth, and my eyes widened.
"Shh..you'll wake them."
As my eyes adjusted, I was able to make out...Firey?
"What's wrong?" I whispered.
"I-I can't sleep..I'm afraid of the dark..."
I got up, and let Firey take my hand.
I led him upstairs, and into my room.

(NOOOO LMFAO IM KIDDING)
I turned my light on, and let him sit on my bed.
"Here. Lay here. The moonlight always comes in. You'll have enough light."
"You don't have a nightlight.?"
"No Firey. Can I go back to sleep?"
He laughed.
"Sure."
As I walked out, he called me back.
"W-wait! Come here."
"What is it Firey? I have to go to bed. It's midnight. We have a long day and-"
He grabbed me, and pulled me onto the bed with him.
"W-what are you doing?"
He embraced me, and wouldn't let go.
"Thank you."
I sighed, and smiled.
"You're welcome you dummy."
I ended up falling asleep, holding him too.

This just gets better and better doesn't it?
Anyways I'm so far behind on English homework so I'll be taking tomorrow mostly off from writing to work on that. Don't wanna not graduate lol.
Yea I'm a senior.
And to think when I first started writing this I was only a Freshman/Sophomore.
