Mike's POV

I woke up by myself on the couch. I wonder where Jeremy went. My phone was face-down on the table. Weird. I had it faced up. I turned on my phone to see multiple messages.

"Hey, Mike." ~Doll
"Please talk to me, I'm sorry." ~Doll
"Can you take me back?? :,(" ~Doll

I scoffed at them. It was Doll. She cheated on me, so I dumped her. Why would I ever take her back? Then it hit me. Jeremy wasn't with me when I woke up. He must've seen the messages. Oh no. I got up looked around, calling for him. I was in my home alone. I saw a note on the front door.

"Went back home. Sorry if you we're worried."

Jeremy's POV

I drove back home silently. I don't know why, but I keep thinking he's going to choose "Doll" over me. I mean, anyone would. I'm not all great. I stutter and I'm shy. Plus, before I got my own house, my dad abused me A LOT in the past.

I pulled into my driveway & got out. As soon as I got to my front door, it began to rain hard. Great. I unlocked the door and walked inside, shaking my hair dry like a dog. I went to my room for a new change of clothes. I checked the time. 9:29. I sighed and got into warmer clothes. Today was Sunday, right? I checked my phone's calendar, but was interrupted by a series of messages.

"Hey, why'd you leave?" ~Mike
"Can I come over?" ~Mike
"Did I do something?" ~Mike

I sighed and texted him "Sure" so he wouldn't worry anymore. Or so he doesn't blame himself. I sat back and despite my thoughts and lots of rest from earlier, I fell asleep quickly.

Mike's POV

Jeremy texted back "Sure" so I got ready to leave. As soon as I was about to head out the door, I got a phone call. I looked at the ID. Ugh. Her again. I hung up and walked out to my car, pulling my hood up because it was pouring. I got into my car and started the engine. Soon, I was heading off to his home. Wait... Did I know his address? Dang it. No I didn't. I stopped and went back. I'll find out later. I'll ask him.

I went back inside, still feeling like an idiot for not asking beforehand. I sighed and plopped down onto the couch. I hope he's okay.
