Mike's POV

Today was the day! I was being let out! Jeremy has been visiting me less and less. He blames it on a second job, but I know it's because of Doll. Today I want to tell him how special he is to me. To hold him in my arms and make sure he knows everything's okay. That we're okay. Fritz dropped me off after giving me a ride home.

"Thanks, Fritz." I smiled and waved at him. He waved goodbye and drove off. I turned to my house, which Jeremy promised to look after, so he was staying there 'til I got back. I couldn't wait to tell him how happy I was to see him! I trotted up to the front door, full of more energy than I've had in weeks. I opened the door happily and stepped in.

My jaw dropped in awe. My house was so... clean. I mean, it's not like I don't clean it, but it's cleaner than ever!

I walked into the living room and noticed no one was there. I looked into the kitchen. Nothing. I checked my room. Nothing. The guest room. Again, nothing. I groaned and sat down on the couch. I spotted a small not on the coffee table and picked it up.

I'm sorry if this worries you, but I can't take it anymore. I've left for awhile and I need to clear my head.

I held the note in front of my face and stayed in that position. Did he just... leave me? Did Doll make him leave? Was it because he thought I didn't love him? I felt silent tears run down my cheeks as I held the note there, reading it over and over, the message haunting me to the core.

I finally worked up the nerve to throw it. Of course, being paper, it didn't go very far. I picked it up, ripped it to shreds, crumbled those pieces into a ball, and threw it away. I couldn't believe what I just read. My heart began to pound more than it already was. My mind kept going to worst case scenarios instead of becoming clear.

I just lost my Jerebear.
