Jeremy's POV
I hugged Mike tightly. He was it. My old friend. I began to cry. He tensed up and I stopped hugging him.
"I-I'm sorry..." I looked away.
"Jeremy... I.... what..?" Mike asked, confused.
"You don't remember me?"
"N-no..."
"Jeremy. Jeremy Fitzgerald. Your old friend." Mike was silent. It hit twelve and we began our shift in silence.

After work, Mike left in a hurry. I was almost hurt, but I understood him. I walked out and got into my car. I watched his drive off in my rearview mirror. I sighed and began to drive off to my house as well.
Mike's POV
I got out quickly and drove home. When I got home, I grabbed a key from my dresser. I used it on a small treasure chest-looking box. I opened it and there it was. A picture of me & Jeremy. I felt tears run down my face as the memories flooded back.
"Jeremy..." I whispered.
