Chapter 4

Aldonza's POV

I never thought my sister and I, would be meeting our mates under these circumstances or for them to be wolves but not just ordinary wolves, the freaking King of Werewolves and us being stuck in this situation DOES NOT look good, AT ALL.

All supernatural creatures get territorial over their mates, werewolves even more. Normal Alphas get super possessive, territorial and protective. Then for Alpha Kings, those feeling get amplified meaning this Beta is in DEEP shit.

The crowd stills and bows their head at the Alphas before them, well except Alexia and I. I rake my eyes over my mate, from his messy brown hair, full eyebrows and dark brown eyes, long nose and short beard with short mustache, his sharp jaw and full slight red lips, his black v-neck shirt that hugs his chiseled chest and strong arms, to his black jeans and black combat boots but all in all my mate looks like he was carved by the Moon Goddess herself and that's saying something.

Alexia gives out a low wolf whistle (seemingly woken up from her brief fainting), everyone snaps their heads in her direction giving her an incredulous look, while the two Alphas quirk an eyebrow at her with amusement shining in their eyes. She shrugs nonchalantly at the unwanted attention and that seems to snap everyone out of it. The Alphas' eyes return to the Beta who looks horrified at the situation he has found himself in. The Alphas' eyes turn gold in anger, all directed at the trembling Beta. My mate releases a growl that shakes the ground beneath us. Ehh maybe I might be exaggerating but still, he does sound scary enough that the Beta starts to piss his pants a little bit, Ugh that's just gross.

My mate storms toward the puny Beta but his brother stops him with his outstretched hand to my mate's chest. Lexi's mate walks forward, slowly but with malice in his eyes towards the Beta.

With four long strides he reaches the stage standing one metre away from him. He suddenly punches Douchie so hard on his right cheek, he falls on a guard standing nearby. At this point Lexi and I are barely containing our laughter. The cute lil guard scrambles to his feet quickly and puts a lot of distance between him and the little show going on here. I just called the Beta Douchie because I'm tired of calling him Beta, the title just doesn't suite him quite well. Meh who am I to judge?

Douchie rushes to get back on his feet before our mates will crush his mind, body and soul. He bows to his Alpha before him and shows his neck as a sign of submission. I see a bruise forming on his cheek and I almost pity him. ALMOST.

And it seems like Lexi's mate isn't letting him off the hook so easily cause the next thing I know, Lexi's mate is kicking his knee into itself. Like instead of kicking it from to back to make him fall forward, he kicked it from the front totally destroying his knee cap and dislocating that bone.

Lexi and I let out an 'ooh'. That must hurt pretty bad. The poor Beta crashes to the ground, grinding his teeth and withering in agonizing pain while Alexia and I are still cuffed. My mate is now standing a couple feet away from us, smirking like a crazed man at what is happening to his own Beta, not even noticing that we are still on our knees and are cuffed.

"Ahem, sorry to interrupt this whole fiasco but we are still cuffed, so...", I said trying to ease the growing tension. This seemed to snap the Alphas out of their trance as my mate walks over to the guard that scrambled away from the Beta and snatched his keys. He comes over to me first since I'm the closest then takes off my cuffs. He intensionally brushes his fingers against my arm leaving lingering sparks. My breath hitches as an unknown feeling makes itself known in my stomach, like insects doing their little crawly dance.

Lexi coughs impatiently, successfully gaining our attention, I glare at her for ruining our moment while she gives me an innocent smile. What a she devil.

My mate walks over to her and does the same to her, without all that touchy stuff. That is meant for me and me only. Ugh now I'm getting all possessive. Immediately he is finished, he tossed the key in the air, caught it then throws it at the struggling Beta's head, rendering him unconscious. Lexi and I share shocked glances.

I don't want to get on his bad side

Neither do I

I rub my sore wrists, get up and dust myself off. I turn to the Alphas and see their eyes unfocused. It seems like they are mind linking. Soon guards come forward to pick up the unconscious Beta and lazily drag his body away, probably to the cells. Meanwhile the crowd watches this whole ordeal with fear in their eyes.

Poor people, probably shitting their pants right now

Took the word right out of my mouth

"This meeting is hereby dismissed", Lexi's mate says, facing the trembling crowd. Before he could complete his sentence, most people are already leaving the premises (even the guards) leaving only the twin Alphas and my sister and I in this beautifully awkward silence. We kinda have a mini staring contest, with their intense gazes that feels like they are boring holes into your souls, it's quite unnerving.

Apparently Lexi seems to agree with me because her next statement makes me face palm.

" What a show you put up there...", I sneak a glance at the Alphas and see them looking at us with amusement shining in their eyes. I start to feel those insect doing their crawly dance in my tummy.

"Alexia you are very stupid. Like how in the name of Jupiter are you my sister?", I ask her incredulously. The presence of the Alphas long forgotten.

"But you still love me anyway", and that is how we start our pointless bickering.

Someone cleared their throat gaining our attention. We turned only to be met by smiling Alphas.

My mate looks so cute

Oh hush mine looks even better

We both know that's a lie. Mine looks better

Well sorry to deflate your ego but my mate looks way hotter than yours

Oh I will punch your sorry ass soon enough

We glare at each other before turning back to the Alphas with creepily innocent smiles. They approach us with long strides and stand before us with softened gazes. Soon our smiles are wiped off our faces. My mate should be a foot and a quarter taller than I am so I have to look up at him.

He gently strokes my cheek as if trying to reassure himself that I'm really here. I get trapped in his soft brown pools with Lexi long forgotten. He gently encircles his hands around my waist and pulls me even closer. At this point I can feel my heart in my throat thumping wildly due to our close proximity. I think he knows how much he affects me cause a lazy smirk appears on his gorgeous face.

I gently place my hand on his chest, exactly where his heart is and feel it beating quickly. I smile softly at how much I affect him as well.

"Hello my beautiful mate"
