Chapter 8

"Namjoon, I'm sure the traffickers got help from the Choi circle. They're causing problems now, I think we can no longer ignore it. That is, if I'm right." Seokjin looks concerned. The Choi circle was always someone they could ask for help and vice versa. Their behavior had changed not so long ago, becoming more involved with dark creatures. At that point, the Kim circle had decided to stop interacting with them entirely.

Namjoon hums and definitely agrees with his cousin. "Okay, and what exactly do they have to do with us? Why are they here in our coven?" He nods in the direction of the strangers and looks at them intensely.

Taehyung steps forward, but not too close. "Jeongguk and I were captured by said traffickers, fled yesterday and then couldn't leave the forest, so we stayed in a small cave." A faint red appears on his cheeks as he remembers the hot night.

Jeongguk of course notices this since he was looking at him the whole time. He's not a freak, but Taehyung is very handsome. You can't blame him for admiring his beauty.

Another person suddenly joins the small group. "Hi." He looks them up and down and judges harshly. "We have to give them clean clothes." The right side of his upper lip lifts up to show his disgust and a snort follows.

"Hobi, why?" Jimin groans. His friend insists that everyone is perfectly dressed, but his behavior makes him look arrogant.

"I won't let them sit at our dining table if they look like strays. I would lose my appetite." The very direct boy named Hoseok, says matter-of-factly, turns around and goes wherever; most likely to get some clothes out of his hut.

"Wow, that was..." Taehyung begins, but stops speaking when he feels a not so gentle push in his rib and receives an almost invisible shake of his head from Jeongguk. He understands his message; don't upset the warlocks.

Jimin thinks it's funny how they're still scared of them. "Hoseok is really nice once you get to know him. A Sunshine, so to speak, but he can get uncomfortable when someone has bad intentions. Believe me when I say that even Seokjin is careful then." It's a warning, there is no indication that it's meant as a joke.

"I understand." Taehyung suddenly lifts his head and stares up at the sky. "It's getting late. That's weird, we woke up not long ago and only walked a few hours. Nothing is normal in this cursed forest."

"You're wrong. The magic over the forest made you lose track of time. I think you've been here for two days." Seokjin explains with a serious expression.

So it's possible that the five minutes of gentle sex could have been longer? Taehyung likes the thought that they might even have been connected for an hour or more.

"Shit. My friends must think I died. Could you bring us back, or at least out of the woods?" The vampire is trying to look cute, maybe it will work on one of them.

"I would like to, unfortunately we have to find the bad guys first. Tell me, when you left the building, were you in the forest right away or not?" Jimin needs to know, he's really sorry, but their peaceful life is in danger and they must stop it before it gets worse. Warlocks are wanted for their power and the traffickers can make a lot of money from them.

Taehyung remembers the moment they escaped. "I saw a small clearing, I think. The building itself wasn't surrounded by trees. Am I right, Ggukie?"

The nickname did something to his heart. "Uh, yes. I remember it too. We saw it right away because it was really beautiful." Kim Taehyung, never stop calling me cute names, Jeongguk begs in his mind, staring at the older man's soft-looking lips. He can't help but lick his own and wet them while their eyes meet for a moment.

"Joonie, I know where that is!" Jimin startles everyone with his excited, high-pitched voice. Tears the couple out of their dirty thoughts and ideas. "Do you remember the werewolves hiding place?"

"Now that you mention it, I do." Namjoon scratches his head. It was his job to keep an eye on them, but after nothing happened for almost a month, he just stopped taking care of it. Wolves usually leave the place forever once they find a better one. After all, they were rogues without a pack. "Looks like we have to pay them a visit."

Jimin claps his hands. "I'm in, can't wait to kick some furry asses."

A funny laugh comes from Seokjin. "Me too, I won't miss this opportunity for anything in the world."

"Oh, we don't have to go as well, do we? You already know where it is and to be honest, I could think of something better than being captured again." Taehyung looks back and forth between the warlocks. He's not a coward, there's just one thing he'd rather do than go hunting, even if he wants vengeance.

"Tae, please. I want to kick asses too." Since Jeongguk doesn't know that he himself is the reason why Taehyung doesn't want to go, he pouts, as he often does lately.

Taehyung had planned to hang out with the vampire and maybe even get his own guts rearranged, but how can he say no to him? "Fine we will go, but only because you asked nicely. When are we going to leave? I'm starving and can't think clearly when my stomach is empty." The demon needs real food while the vampire only needs to drink blood. Jeongguk can also digest human food, but it doesn't keep him full for long.

As if on cue, Hoseok comes back and throws two pieces of clothing in the faces of the guests. "Dinner is ready, let's eat after you've changed." He doesn't wait for an answer and just walks away while tucking something into his tiny neon yellow belt pouch.

"Yoongi must have prepared dinner today since Jin was with me." While rubbing his belly, Jimin followed Hoseok with quick steps.

"Your boyfriend likes Yoongi's food more than mine. That's blasphemy." Seokjin grumbles indignantly and follows them with a short sprint.

Namjoon looks at the two young men apologetically. "He's very dramatic sometimes. Hurry up, then let's go before Yoongi curses you for being late."

Taehyung and Jeongguk don't want that to happen.

"Okay." The older of the two can hardly wait to finally have some food in his stomach. They use a small hut to change clothes while Namjoon waits outside. The demon has to hold back so as not to push the vampire against the wall when he undressed. Now that he's got a taste of him, he can't wait to have the handsome boy again.
