Chapter 5

Jeongguk wakes up to a very warm, almost scorching body next to him. It only feels that way because he's always damn cold himself. The vampire has to admit that it feels good, very nice, maybe even perfect. He missed that feeling when someone hugs and cuddles him. With a smile on his face, he puts his arms around the other, throws one leg over Taehyung's and sighs with satisfaction.

"Good morning, Jeon." The older calls him the hated name again. Well, Jeongguk doesn't hate his family name, it's just that he prefers Taehyung to call him Jeonggukie or Gguk or even just Jeongguk, but Taehyung doesn't need to know that.

"Yes, morning or whatever." His mood is a little worse now. Sullen Jeongguk is back.

Taehyung likes this Jeongguk as much as the sweet and nice one, although unfortunately he doesn't see the latter that often, actually never. "Why are you so mad, Ggukie?"

There it is, Jeongguk can't hold back a big smile. Fortunately, his face is still hidden in the other's chest.

"Don't you want to answer me?" The demon gently pushes the younger away from his body, at least wants to look at him. It's been hours since he last saw his pretty face and wants to see it every day from now on.

"I'm not mad." He emphasizes the last word. "My body hurts, that's all." Jeongguk doesn't lie completely. His body aches a little from the uncomfortable floor they are lying on. To be honest, he prefers to imagine that it's because of what both of them did a few hours earlier. Though Taehyung is huge, his ass took it like a champ, as if it was made for it, so he could enjoy every single thrust.

Taehyung coos and presses the round buttocks together before he slaps a palm on one of them as a small punishment for lying. "Don't pretend you didn't like it. I know you better than you think. Never forget who found your dying ass six hundred years ago."

Jeongguk sits up and completely untangles himself from Taehyung. "Yeah, I never could." Because you fucking idiot left me alone with the vampire who turned me; he wants to add, but doesn't. Instead, Jeongguk takes his clothes to get dressed. He needs a shower to get rid of the sperm and other dirt clinging to his body. Perhaps a river or lake is enough, this forest should have at least one of them.

"Hey." Taehyung prevents him from leaving the cave. "I'm sorry for what I did then. I had no choice. You were safe and my job of protecting you as a dark creature was over. If I had known that we would argue and fight every time whenever we meet, I-"

"Just shut up, okay? It's in the past and there is nothing you can do about it now. When I talk about it, I don't feel better because ..." Jeongguk turns his head and looks over his shoulder. "This is who you are, Kim Taehyung. You are a goddamn demon and it is in your nature to wreak havoc. No offense."

"Non taken." Taehyung shakes his head as soon as it leaves his mouth. "Well, that's not true, I'm offended. I gave you my blood to save you. I was always close to you after that, or who do you think made him disappear before he could make it worse? I have even acted against the orders of my boss, who, you know is the devil." Taehyung pulls up the sleeve of his hoodie and shows him a tattoo. "This was my punishment after they found out. Still, I would do it for you over and over again."

Jeongguk finally turns completely to him and looks at the tattoo Taehyung is talking about. It's a white dove, beautiful in its drawing. Unfortunately, it is known as shame in the underworld, a sign Heaven uses for their angels. Since Taehyung did something good, he is mocked with this sign. He could have made it go away by correcting his mistake, but obviously he never did since Jeongguk is still alive. He wonders why.

"Look, I'm not saying that you owe me anything for it. I just told you this to make you realize that I would never harm you. He was the one who transformed you and it was his duty taking care of your, which this loser definitely didn't do." The demon's eyes turned black as he spoke, anger clearly visible. "Don't worry, he received his rightful punishment." Taehyung made it very painful for him by taking the fucker's life slowly and with so much joy; he is the best when it comes to torture.
