The peace I feel when I'm with my mate is the most comforting thing I could ever feel. It was like an air of absence had been following me around this whole time and I only knew it was there when the absence was filled.

"I love you so much, and I missed you so much over these past weeks," Rowan said, and that completely confused me.

"I love you too, but how many weeks do you think I have been gone?" He then turned to me, also obviously confused.

"Fireheart, you've been gone for six almost seven weeks, how many do you think you've been gone?"

"I've been gone for literally a day more than a week," I reply.

"Maybe time goes differently here?" Rowan suggests after thinking for a little bit.

"That is most likely," I say. Just as I open my mouth to change the subject, Feyre winnows in. It is almost comical. She had only three bags of shopping, which was less than I thought she would have had, but maybe she had already done some of the shopping? As I was pondering the thought, Cassian hops up.

"Wine anyone?" He said with a mischievous glint in his eye. Mor also hops up but winnows, probably to the cellar, and comes back with three bottles. Cassian runs up to her and snatches it out of her hands which resulted in her almost dropping the rest of them.

"Get back here you damned bastard!" She shrieked. Together they reminded me of our court so much. As if reading my mind, Rowan whispered so that only I could hear him,

"We'll be home soon, I promise."

-

"Up, up, up, UPPP." I heard a small voice say at an ungodly time of the morning.

"Wait, wha- Owen!" I said in a much higher tone than I would usually use. "Why are you up so early?" I pulled him into my lap to stop him from jumping on Rowan. When I say early, the sun was barely peaking over the horizon, not even waking the birds.

"It's the SOLSTICE! Which means presents and food and EVERYTHING!"

"Oh," I say through laughter. "Why don't we go out to the living room to see who else is up. Just between you and me, fae warriors are the broodiest in the mornings." There were two perks to me saying that, 1. Owen started laughing and agreeing with me, and 2. I knew Rowan was awake enough for that to register, so I earned a growl from him.

"Mama and Mor are awake but they're talking about boring stuff." He drawled.

"Well we can't have them talking about boring stuff, can we?" I say tickling his tummy a little.

Walking into the living room, carrying Owen on my hip, I see Feyre laughing at something Mor said. No one else other than those two was in the room.

"Morning," I said. Mor and Feyre both looked at me and smiled.

"Did you get woken up?" Feyre asked while jokingly scolding him. He ran off, probably to wake everyone else up.

"Yeah, but this is much better than sleeping." As if on cue, all eight on the males walked in, grumbling about being woken up by something.

"The only days I get to sleep in are the days I swear I get up earlier!" Cassian grumbled.

"Presents!" The general laughed.

"You know Mor, I honestly would've expected Owen to shout presents, but we'll just leave it to you, 500 or so year old." Mor shoved him and told him to piss off. Yrene and I shared a look and started chaperoning our males out so that everyone else could have the holiday with their family, but Feyre and Mor winnowed right infont of the way to the door.

"And where do you think you're going?" Feyre asked.

"Uh I don't know but getting out of you guys' way so that we don't intrude." I said.

"Nuh uh! Turn your asses- sorry Owen don't repeat that- around and sit with us." Mor said as she and the High Lady were slowly walking towards us, forcing us to retreat back to the living area around the fire towards everyone else.

A/N- Finally I update! I honestly don't have an excuse other than being unmotivated
