"So hypothetically, if we were to travel to another world, we could retrieve Aelin and not need to 'summon' her or whatever," I asked. It was a fairly simple question, but we had been trying to find loopholes for the past hour. I was disappointed that we didn't think of it earlier. Lysandra's head snapped up.

"Why didn't I think of that!" She started frantically flicking through that wyrdmark book. I sat there, contemplating how many of us it would take to achieve a god-like amount of power. Dorian, Fenrys, Lorcan and I would make up a big sum of it, maybe if we did it enough, we could do it, but no matter how powerful we are, if we don't band together, it wouldn't work.

"Yes! Travelling to another world would only take a wyrdmark, including your blood, of course, to travel to another world."  Lysandra said hopefully. Her eyes suddenly got worried.

"What?" I said cautiously.

"Well, in the margin, it says that you should only attempt this if you can go through the folds of the universe, I think." She says.

"What do you mean 'I think'?"

"The handwriting is so old, you can read it if you want." I looked at the margin, and it definitely said 'only attempt this if you can travel through the folds of the universe'.

"What do we do?" Lysandra asked, wariness laced through her voice.

"Fenrys," was my only answer.

Aelin

Dinner was amazing. The food was so good, it reminded me of home. We all went dancing afterwards which made me realise how much of a toll rebuilding Terassen had taken. And how long it had been since I had really just had fun with friends.

"Do you want to come back to ours?" Mor asked me. I nodded eagerly, wanting to get to bed after almost three hours of dancing and drinking and then more dancing. We forged walking and winnowed straight to the house by the river. As soon as we opened the door an infant came running and hugged Mor.

"Owen! I haven't seen you in a month!" Mor said. Despite the exhaustion and alcohol, she immediately perked up.

"Yeah! I went to the winter court and saw all the kids there, and we saw Kallias' and Viviane's manor! Then we did the same thing at the summer court!" The kid was practically bouncing with excitement. "I made so many new friends!" Owen stopped talking as he saw me over Mor's shoulder.

"Who are you?" He asked. Even for human standards, he was young. Barely 10.

"The same could be asked of you," I say, deciding to mess with him just a little bit. I did this all the time with the children of Terrasen and they thought it was absolutely hilarious.

"I'm Owe- wait, dada told me not to answer weird questions!"

"And who is your dada? I'll have a word with him!" I say in a slightly amused tone.

"Rhysand, High Lor- that's exactly the question I'm supposed to be avoiding!"

"A little tip kid, if someone is asking 'weird questions', lie to their face." He looked warily at Mor, then back to me. "So, your Feyre and Rhys' son?" Owen looked a little defeated but nodded.

"So who are you?" He asked. I didn't feel like telling him the long story, so instead, I just gestured to the door.

"My name is Aelin but if you want the whole story ask your parents when they get home." Owen looked at Mor, who looked close to laughter.

"Come on little high lord lets get you to bed, it's very late." She picked him up then looked at me. "Fifth room on the left." I nodded gratefully. As kind as Morrigan had been to me, I still had a country to run, and I missed my mate and family. I went to sleep, wondering what the court of Terrasen was doing at this exact moment.

-

I woke up hours later to someone knocking. The first thing I registered was that I had been changed into lovely silk nightclothes, either the cause of magic or servents. The second thing I registered was that it was sunrise. Rhysand told me that the sun rose quite early in the night court, which I thought was ironic. The person knocked again, so I slipped out of bed and answered the door. To my surprise, it was Owen. Looking at him in the daylight, I could see that he had a mix of Feyre's blue eyes and Rhysand's violet eyes. Bluer than the high lords, but definitely not pure blue. His hair was like his fathers, dark and kept, but the shape of his face and the less prominent features like his cheekbones were almost identical to Feyre's.

"Hi!" He said excitedly. "Can you come solstice shopping with me?" I was taken aback by the question, but I wasn't able to answer before he carried on. "Mor, Cassian, Mama, and Dada are all still asleep, I don't know where Azriel is, and since Mor willingly took you here, I think you can come with me while shopping." He was definitely one with words for someone barely past childhood.

"You know what," I say, "I would love to take you shopping!"

Feyre

I rolled over to face my mate to see that he is already looking at me, playing with the ends of my hair.

"Morning, Feyre darling," he says while leaning in to kiss me. "Owen came back last night." That made me wake up. I loved my son so much and when he went on that month-long field trip with his class to winter and summer, I missed him so damn much. I shot right up, ignoring Rhys' protests, I shot to Owen's room to find the door slightly ajar and him nowhere to be seen.

"Maybe he went to wake up Cassian or Mor?" My mate said halfheartedly.

"I'll go check with Cas, you see with Mor," I said, then walked in the direction of the general's room.

"Cassian?" I say while knocking.

"Whats up Fey-Fey?" I hear a sleepy voice say. I push open the door to see him stretching, meaning this is one of those rare occasions where he got up after 5.30.

"Well, you know how Owen got back sometime last night?" I started.

"Oh yeah, how is the little guy?"

"That's the thing, I got back really late last night and didn't get to see him, and he's not in his room, so I was checking if he was in here." Cassian looked vaguely worried. All our family adored Owen, everyone used to fight over who got to hang out with him next.

"Is he with Mor?"

Did you find him? I asked down the bond

No, I was about to ask you. Rhys replied

"Hide and seek time I guess," I said halfheartedly.

Cassian didn't laugh.
