Everyone froze, and the tall slim guy walked over to the door and stopped. "Who is it? We're closed." He shouted. There was no response after a few moments. "Looks like it was nobody."Then another three knocks came. He looked frustrated, so he bent down and lifted the door just a little and got in the way of the intruder to block their view. "Look lady, we're closed." He told them rudely.
"What a shame." A familiar voice told him. "My truck broke down right outside your shop, and my pup isn't very happy." Victoria, and she looked behind him and saw me. "Oh my, what are you monsters doing to this poor boy?" Why did she sound like a genuinely scared lady?
The slim guy opened the door the rest of the way and sounded pleased. "Well, why don't you just come in nice and easy and we can explain it to you."
Victoria put on an innocent and frightened look. "I wouldn't. My dog, she's very protective."
A low growl filled the air, a menacing and stalking growl that came from a pure and dangerous predator. A bear-sized wolf, black as the night, came into sight around the side of the door. Her teeth were revealed from the snarl she released. Now I see. Tera and Victoria had found me, and I was relieved.
Jackson and Billy were petrified. Billy stood still with the welder in hand while Jackson just stood there shaking. Tera wasn't very happy, and Victoria just smiled. "What? Never seen a giant wolfdog before?" She shoved the slim guy, and he flew back a few feet and landed on his butt. "Now the real fun of you boys' night begins."
Tera and Victoria made their way in and Victoria shut the door back down. Tera pounced on the slim guy, and he started screaming in pain and fear. I smiled a little at it. I wasn't fond of my nipples or anything, but this was going to be so hard to explain when I die. And plus that hurt like hell.
After Tera, who was dripping with blood, was done tearing that guy apart until his screams subsided, she made her way towards us. Billy had dropped the welder and had made a break for the door, trying to make his way around Tera.
However, he didn't expect Victoria to suddenly and quickly grab him. "Ah, just when I was needing to eat something." She joked as she quickly and pretty uncomfortably bit into the side of his neck, causing him to scream. The sounds of her drinking were the most unsettling.
Tera slowly stalked her way towards us, and Jackson, who had finally found himself, had stepped quickly away to the side. She came just a few feet in front of me and sniffed me. I smiled a little at her. "Hello, my love." I told the black wolf with slurred words.
Tera's POV
You damn idiot! Of all the times you choose to try and be cute, you choose now, when you're chained and close to death? My heart skipped a beat. Damnit, body! Now isn't the time to get all gushy.
James' POV
I continued to smile. "Want to introduce you... to a guy I met the other night..." I let out. "He and I... go back..." My voice stopped, then. It was sore and it felt like it was shutting down.
Tera stared at me a second longer before turning her attention to Jackson. She let out a growl I had never heard from her throat before. It was more than a predator gives when in confrontation. It was unsettling and haunting, and it was like a grudge in the form of sound.
She launched herself at him and I heard screaming. I couldn't look over. My vision was blurry and fading, and I could feel my body going numb. I was beaten really bad, my throat was full of dried blood from a broken nose along with mucus. I was pretty sure I might have had internal bleeding somewhere, and I had a gash that was starting to cease with the blood.
