I couldn't write very well for the next couple of days because of how sore my hand was. The cuts were gone thankfully, but there were scars which bore the dreadful phrase, "I must not tell lies." It got to the point where Professor McGonagall told me to go see Madam Pomfrey. I got up from my bench and walked down the hall to the hospital wing. Malfoy happened to be walking by and he snickered at me, "What happened Weasley? Class too much of a shock for you?" it made me sick at how he thought he was being funny. "Like I've said before, don't you have anything better to do?" I scoffed. I started to strode away and he made one last insult, "If You Know Who gets you, then I'll laugh!"

I stopped dead in my tracks and walked towards him with my fist raised. "WHY DO YOU HAVE TO MAKE MY LIFE MISERABLE ALL THE TIME?!?!" angry tears started to flow. "WHAT DID MY FRIENDS AND I EVER DO TO YOU?!?!" I slapped him square across the face and I ran down the hall to the hospital wing in tears before Malfoy could say anything.

Before, Malfoy's comments never bothered me until now. This was me snapping because I had it up to here with his bullying and it took every ounce of me to not punch him in the face, well Hermione did three years prior, and that was something we were all waiting for. After the nightmare Cedric and I went through last year, I couldn't take the bullying that would ensue. My life was in danger and I wouldn't let anyone hurt the people I love.

"You alright Miss Weasley?" Madam Pomfrey inquired concerned when I walked into the hospital. Tears were still sliding down my face and my hand was hurting. "No..." my cries were turning into sobs. "What happened?" she asked. I told her everything without stopping including the moments before I came into the hospital wing.

She hugged me and let me cry, "I knew there was something off about that woman the moment she entered this school, and don't let Mr. Malfoy get to you. He's just proud because of his wealth and his family is very prejudiced." "Indeed." I wiped my tears and chuckled weakly.

"Now let's get your hand fixed." she got some bandages and examined my hand. "'I must not tell lies,'" she read the scars cut into my hand. "What did Professor Umbridge accuse you of lying about?" "That You Know Who has returned and my boyfriend wasn't killed by him, his death was just a 'tragic' accident'" I replied.

Thinking about that day made my heart sink.  "I'm so sorry you went through that. It broke my heart to see you sitting by his beside in tears, and it was extraordinary how you were able to heal him. You must love Mr. Diggory very much." she told me kindly. "I do, our connection is strong." I touched the bracelet that still resided on my wrist. "That's inspiring to see." she looked at my hand once more. "The cuts look like they're completely healed, did anyone help you after your awful detention?" "Cedric used the healing spell on my hand." I replied. "Sounds like he's a good one." she smiled. "He is, I'm so lucky." "I assure you Miss Weasley, if anyone gives you a grievance again you can talk to me." "Thanks Madam Pomfrey." she used another spell to take away the soreness in my hand.

I was grateful that she was willing to listen to what was going on and to further examine my wounds. I had felt alone, and I was grateful that I had another staff member to confide in. I was still worried what would happen as Professor Umbridge inflicted her horrific punishments on students. How was the Ministry allowing this?

Something wasn't right.
