Umbridge and the Inquisitorial Squad caught us, and Cho tipped them off while she was under the influence of the Imperius Curse. Harry wasn't happy with her, so he broke up with her.

The fake smile of Umbridge felt like she was torturing us with her very presence. "Now, who is responsible for this act of defiance?" she interrogated, staring at each of us with disgust. No one would answer; Cedric held my hand to help me from getting scared.

Umbridge tried again to cast a separating curse on us, but was unsuccessful. She growled under her breath and resumed her questioning. She walked up and down the line of people she held hostage, asking, "Is no one willing to confess? There has to be one of you."

Members of the Ministry were with her, including my brother Percy! He had been telling me, Fred, George, Ron, and Ginny that Harry was lying, so we shouldn't be friends with him anymore. It was the only time I'd ever been angry at a member of my family, and Percy was the one I got on the least with. "It's clear Dumbledore put one of you up to this. Admit it and no one will be hurt." Percy said coolly. I was developing hatred for my brother. With the same cool response, I replied, "We have no idea what you're talking about." "I know when you're lying." Percy glared at me. "I know when you're betraying your family!" I yelled back at him. A hard slap from Percy caused me to fall to the ground. Yelling in pain, I held my face on the spot where he struck me. After helping me up, Cedric turned angrily to Percy, "Why?" Throughout the course of our relationship, I had never seen him angry until this moment. Fred screamed, "DON'T HIT OUR SISTER!". "ENOUGH!" Umbridge cried.

"That's enough Dolores." Dumbledore interrupted with a stern tone. Don't hurt them, I was responsible for putting them up to recruiting an army." "Arrest him!" "Send him to Azkaban!"

Just then, Dumbledore clapped, and he disappeared quickly in a flash of firecrackers. "Find him, you fools!" Umbridge rushed at her minions.

There was a moment when I was crying silently into Cedric's arms, and I wanted to avoid seeing what the confrontation would lead to. The punishment for not following her orders was detention for all of us.

Similarly to what Harry and I did at the beginning of school, she made us write lines. I experienced the pain of the words "I must not tell lies" creating a scar on my hand once again, and now everyone I loved was feeling the same pain I was. "There's no doubt in my mind that all of you know, deep down, you deserve to be punished." Umbridge smirked and giggled to herself.

Trying to sleep that night, I nursed my hand; this whole year had been a nightmare and the Ministry did nothing about it. What had become of this world?

Lydia... an eerie voice interrupted my sleep. I muttered, "Go away.". "You'll join the Death Eaters," the voice whispered. Suddenly, Voldemort himself appeared. "I'll put your gift to good use." he brandished the wand that looked like it was made of bone. I questioned him, "to what end did you intend?" I got my wand out of my pocket to defend myself if the need arose.

As his pointed teeth curved into a wide smile, he said, "You will bring back my living friends from the dead, so my army will finally rise again.". This did not sit well with me, "No." "Then Cedric Diggory dies again." he smiled again. "We are bound by the power of love, something you cannot comprehend." I shouted, preparing to cast a spell. "Lydia, I'll see you soon." he grinned before vanishing in a puff of black smoke.

A few minutes later, I woke up with a cold sweat on my brow, it had not been an ordinary nightmare; it was a warning from Voldemort.
