Won't Accept Defeat I'll Never Stop

“We have to act quickly!” I turned around and pushed John and Edward further into the forest, to talk about things. I glanced back and I could see the guards running off. We did not have much time.
“The only way out is to get out like I did last time,” I said, seriously, “Which is to go to the front of the castle, and cross the bridge.”
“But how are we going to do it if the guards know that you’re out? There’ll be a lot of them guarding the exit!” Edward said.
“We’ll have to distract them,” John said.
“Last time I threw a stone into the moat to distract them, but I guess there’ll be too many of them for it to work – speaking of which, how did you two get in?”
“We were lucky – the two guards were doing their patrol and they were circling the castle, so they couldn’t see us when we cross the bridge,” Edward replied, smiling a bit.
“I think the only way for it to work is to distract them, with something really big,” John seemed like he was talking to himself.
“But what will that be?” I asked, and I could sense that it would not be a good idea.
“I will – no, I’m not telling you, I have this plan but for it to work you can’t know a thing about it,” said John.
“You have to tell us!” Edward said, worry filling his face. I guess he also smelled something off with this plan.
“No! Or you’ll ruin it,”
“I trust you, John,” even though I did not, I still told him, “Whatever you’re doing will set the three of us free, right?”
“Yeah,” John said, but his tone and his eyes told me that it would not. It would not end well. I could tell it.
“John, be honest,” I pleaded, and looked down, “I can tell there’s something wrong. I don’t want it to end badly because of me. It’s my entire fault. You two should have never come here and I should have never escaped. Then everyone would be carrying on with whatever we were doing before. I’m so sorry.”
“(Yn),” John tilted my chin to make me look at him, “It’s NOT your fault. I’m so glad that you have come into my life. It is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I think Edward will say the same.”
“Yes,” Edward said, “Don’t be sorry, I regret nothing, I’m glad that I have met you.”
“But it’s still not going to be okay,” I reminded them of our situation.
John let go of my chin, “Nothing will happen to you, not even to Edward, so don’t worry, I’m sure my plan will work out,”
“How about you?” I said, alarmed. My sense told me that there was something really of about this case.
“I can take care of myself,” he said. I said nothing; I knew it would be useless. I was not going to push him.
“If you say so…” I finally said.
“So what’s your plan?” Edward asked John.
“Just… Follow me and do as what you’re told,” John suddenly pulled me in for a hug; it was not like the other hugs we had shared before. He hugged me as tight as he could, I felt like I was choking, but I did not care. Who knew if this would be the last time?
“Edward, don’t get mad but in case something happens…” John told Edward, and pulled back a little from our hug. He looked me deep in the eyes, and leaned in slowly. Edward said nothing and did nothing; he did not bother to stop his brother.
Our lips touched. Our lips moved in harmony and the kiss was so sweet. But I also tasted some bitterness, just like the hug. It tasted like… A goodbye.
I stood on my tiptoes and wrapped my arms around John’s neck, crushing our bodies together. He responded by tightening his arms around my waist, and he slightly pulled me upwards.
I could feel John pulling away. But I did not want it to end; I was afraid that I would not get any more chances. I hugged myself closer to John with all my strength, and ran my right hand through his hair, making him unable to quit the kiss.
We continued kissing and I locked away the need for air. But at last I could not ignore the need to breathe anymore; my lungs were burning. I broke the kiss for a moment, gasping for air. John was breathing fast too.
“I love you, you have to know that, I always do,” I whispered against his lips.
“I love you too, (Yn),”
We kissed one last time, and released each other. I turned around to see Edward facing away from us; he seemed to be all tensed up, with his fists at his sides.
“I’m sorry Edward,” I grabbed his hand.
He wheeled around, “Don’t be, I understand,” he said, trying for force a smile, “And we don’t have much time, let’s go.”
“(Yn), you know the most about the locations, can you lead us to the front?” John asked.
“Sure…” I said, feeling uneasy, “But we have to go in the castle or else we will have nowhere to hide if we come across someone.”
I led the way inside the castle, running as fast as we could down the hallway. Suddenly I heard footsteps echoing down the hallway that intersected with the one we were running down.
I quickly pulled the twins with me to hide behind one of the tall potted plants lining up against the wall.
“I told you, Father would listen to me,” Rosary’s voice was heard before she came into view, with Gwen by her side, “See what state she’s in now? She deserves it!”
“That was a brilliant move, I must say,” Gwen replied, grinning cunningly.
“You see, she – AH!” Rosary was in the middle of the sentence when she accidentally tripped.
“Princess Rosary!” Gwen quickly moved forward to help Rosary up.
“I’m okay—” she stopped mid-sentence and starred at me in horror. Since she was on the floor, from that angle she could see us dodging behind the plant easily.
“(YN)!” she yelled, pointing at our hiding place, kneeling on the floor, “She’s escaped again!”
Now Gwen had spotted us too, “Oh no!” she gasped.
Before I could react, John and Edward got up and stood in front of me protectively.
“So we’ve finally met,” Edward said coolly.
“Who are you?” Rosary demanded, “Why are you with (Yn)? I didn’t know she has friends! Especially someone good-looking like you two – why are you with that ugly unwanted (Yn)?”
I stood up and was boiling inside, but at the same time I found it funny that Rosary could not resist the beauty of John and Edward even though they were strangers to her.
“Say it again,” John threatened.
“I said, that nasty thing over there does not deserve a friend!” Rosary spat.
“How dare you insult her!” Edward said, angrily, “She’s the most amazing person we’ve ever met and she’s a thousand – no, a million times better than you!”
“What did you say? I’m going to report this to Father!” she said, and turned around.
Then the twins acted so quickly. They grabbed each of them and pulled them towards the nearest door. They pushed them inside, ignoring their scream and kicks, and then blocked the door with a plant.
“That’ll show them,” Edward said, heading back to me, “She’s really, really a big fat brat!”
I could not help but giggled, “Let’s go,”
I ran down the hallway again, with John and Edward flanking my sides.
At last we made it to the front door. We quietly opened the tall double door, and seeing there was no guard, we hid behind the plants like I did before.
We waited for a few minutes, and there was no sound. Everything seemed to be alright. So we decided to make a run for the forest across the bridge.
We were halfway through the path that led to the bridge, when some noises rose behind us, “It’s them! Catch them!”
I risked a glance backwards when still running. There were lots of guards. LOTS of them. They were all after us.
